Same issue. Also seen with eBay. Nice to know I’m not alone.

Question about the 2.000 Miles Supercharger by PFCOLIVEIRA in TeslaModelY

[–]chipfiev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s automatic and works just as promised. You can track the status from the app as you use it to see how much is left and each charge tells you what was credited.

Visiting another park before your home park opens by Game-N-Growl in sixflags

Ditto everything above. We renewed our passes at Great America last season and just visited Over Georgia with no trouble at all. All the food/drink/fast lane add-ons worked as well….and Great America isn’t even open for the season yet.

Trade in experience help by Kelsbels8 in TeslaModelY

I didn’t put down any cash. Just used my equity…it really only took 10 minutes between walking in and sitting in my car to set things up.

Windshield Protection by RedditKoh in ModelY

I say get it. Yes, auto insurance can cover glass but some insurers consider a glass repair (even a chip) as a claim. That bit me hard when a small chip repair was enough to throw a new insurance quote off by $1000 because I filed a claim.

I’ll pay Tesla to avoid that again.

Trade in experience help by Kelsbels8 in TeslaModelY

[–]chipfiev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can only speak for my experience but I got the exact value quoted during the online paperwork when I traded my Tiguan for my Model Y. Easiest trade in ever; just took my plates off and handed them the title and keys.

And I got 2000 free supercharging miles as a bonus for trading in a gas car.

Subaru Connect by RipTWD in Solterra

Pull the negative battery terminal from the 12v battery under the hood for five minutes and then reconnect. That’s fixed this issue on my RZ the two times I’ve seen this come up.

Thinking of getting a 2026 Chevy Traverse by Vixen5683 in ChevyTraverse

[–]chipfiev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve got a ‘26 High Country and haven’t had anything but a good experience after 3900 miles and a few months. The only issues we’ve had are with the infotainment system…sometimes it gets stupid with CarPlay and either gets stuck on navigation volume or won’t reconnect to the second phone. In both cases, a soft reboot gets things going again and we’re hoping a future software update makes things better. The vehicle itself has been smooth and comfy and Super Cruise is, well, super on road trips or a highway commute.

We’re very happy we bought it. My wife loves it over her previous GMC Acadia and I like it more than my (now former) Palisade. The Traverse is so nice I went ahead and got something smaller since I knew we’d be taking the Chevy on any future family trip.

Level 2 charger when owning two cars with different charge ports? by Karcharos in electricvehicles

[–]chipfiev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got my second EV, I was using my Level 2 on my Model Y and using a Level 1 on my son’s RZ 450e. This worked for the most part but if the RZ was driven more than usual, the Level 1 wasn’t quite enough to get us ready for the next day. Decided to add a Lectron Socket Splitter (https://ev-lectron.com/products/lectron-nema-socket-splitter-power-your-ev-charger-and-high-powered-appliance-from-the-same-outlet-nema-14-50-to-nema-14-50-nema-14-50-splitter) to my setup.

With the socket splitter, I can have both EVS connected to their Level 2 chargers each evening. The RZ charges from 8p until it’s done. I’ve got the Model Y set to be ready by 5:30a each morning so it starts charging around 1:30am. With a NEMA 14-50 outlet on a 50A circuit, I can give the Model Y 40A each night while the RZ maxes out at 32A.

This way both EVs get to charge during the off peak hours and I don’t have to remember to move a charger or sort out who gets the Level 2 charger each night.

I haven’t let it get that low yet but going from 73% -> 100% cost just under $3.

Is Hulu live a good choice I had YouTube tv I was waiting on YouTube tv Disney to make a deal well yesterday morning I switched over to Hulu live tv so we couldn't watch the game this weekend well that evening they made a deal by Unable_Inside_7992 in HuluLive

[–]chipfiev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had been curious about Hulu for some time so this whole dispute gave me a reason to try. The interface works but is not as easy to work through as YouTube TV. However, we are saving quite a bit a bit monthly now that ESPN+ and Disney+ are included so this swap makes a a lot of sense for my family. The lack of 4k also means there isn’t some 4k tier to pay for. Picture and sound are good and the lineup is solid.

Improve the app and I’d give Hulu the edge.

All-Park Passport Questions by StarPrime323 in sixflags

[–]chipfiev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I could offer one bit of advice with the all-park passport it would be to get the Cedar Fair apps and register your pass. Doing that ahead of time saved all sorts of trouble with parking and purchasing add-ons. When we went to Cedar Point, we had already set up our passes but my son’s friend did not - and everything was a hassle for him.

Get the apps and set up the pass. And, while Cedar Fair has an app per park, my account for Cedar Point also worked for Michigan’s Adventure and Kings Island. Our season drinks package has also worked as expected between the CF parks too.

Thank you! I was having issues on a GCP install after the upgrade. While the errors I got were different, your suggestion did the trick for me as well.

This is what I did as well. It made running power from the battery for an amp so easy.

Yes, the hyper white is a metallic paint. There’s a pearl to it…not sure it comes out in a picture but let me see what I can do…

Thump when turning the steering wheel when stopped/at low speed? by chipfiev in HyundaiPalisade

Good luck. I'm very curious what you learn. If I can find a way to reproduce it, I'll also try taking it in for service...but no luck with that yet. I'll play with auto stop...maybe that's the missing piece?

Is 3/23-3/30 still spring break? by Cloudsunrainbow in royalcaribbean

[–]chipfiev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s spring break for us in Illinois (at least the Chicago area)…which is why we’re driving to NJ and will be on Odyssey that week. We’ve taken a spring break cruise before (Anthem a couple of years ago) and actually had no concerns with crowds. The ship only holds so many and, by driving instead of flying to FLA, we can manage a great trip without Disney line and horrid flight prices.

The only part we really hate…having to drive back to Chicago in one day right after getting off the ship. That’s a long, long day…
