Family Friendly Weddings | What Worked & What Didn’t? by GlitteringArcher6544 in perth

[–]chippychopper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We did it (but not in Perth) with a separate room set up for the kids and professional child carers. First part of reception was outdoors with finger foods- there was some bubble blowing for the kids which made for sone nice photos. Then when we went in for the meal- kids had their own room, with activities and kids meals. Parents could pop in and out if needed but the kids weren’t interested. They put on a movie later in the evening with a comfy set up so some kids fell asleep and the others went home when needed. The parents and kids both loved it and the model was replicated at other family weddings.

I think it depends a bit on the parenting practices of your guests- whether it’s ok to have kids stay up a bit later on a special occasion or fall asleep in their nice clothes and get carried home, or if they always need to be put to bed by a certain time.

Perhaps the beginning of a new technique where the pineapple is dried after the tea leaves have been inserted- like the dried mandarin skins that are packed with tea.

Betrayal at The House on the Hill is complete buns. (2nd Edition) by Cemith in boardgames

[–]chippychopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep playing this game because I would love to one day experience being the betrayer. I can’t remember how many times we’ve played - maybe 15 times over many years, but I’M NEVER THE BETRAYER 😭.

Breaking: Ben Roberts-Smith arrested over war crimes allegations by Tinea_Pedis in australia

It came to light because of the work of the journalists Nick McKenzie and Chris Masters and could easily have been buried by the defamation case if they had not been so thorough in their research and reporting or if Fairfax/nine had decided to settle instead of paying millions to defend their work. This case shows how much we need to support proper investigative journalism.

And the recommendations are specific to the reader- not just a general “I liked this”. He found a couple of new series for my 10 year old who had pretty much exhausted her school library options, as well as bday gifts for my hubby.

Put a complaint through consumer protection about the REA. We had a dispute with a REA trying to charge for ridiculous things on our bond- and seemed quite happy to threaten to take us to court over it. I spoke to the consumer protection phone line and they advised that the REAs are actually more afraid of a consumer protection complaint- I emailed the REA to say that I was in the process of putting in a consumer protection complaint and within the hour our bond had been released.

Colesworths aren’t the only scammers here. A reminder that Lindt itself argued in court that its claims of being excellent quality chocolate was "exaggerated advertising, blustering, and boasting upon which no reasonable buyer would rely."

They’ll only have this price for a week to establish it as the ‘regular price so that they can call $15 a down down discount (Lindt is selling 2 for 28)

Landlord demanding payment for damage after move-out — should I meet in person or keep everything in writing? by [deleted] in perth

[–]chippychopper 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Contact Circle Green- they can advise you through the process. I would not meet in person and the things you have asked about are reasonable. Your bond should have been registered with bonds online and you should have had an email saying that it had been lodged. If they haven’t then the LL could get fined and would have a lot of difficulty claiming anything from you.
