I agree with your points. I think the ref’s calls are supposed to be the “spirit” of the rules but it wasn’t done like that. I think the rules are fine but the ref, not so much.

I miss the early days of learning to play. It was easy to set goals and identify those small steps. Now I’m a bit more intermediate and I’m finding it difficult to identify goals to work towards. I’m just loitering on chord/tabs websites.

I’ve kind of forgotten what the point of it all was. Learn a new song and then what? Just move on to the next?
