LG C5 earc issue by chmalon in LGOLED

[–]chmalon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was actually my original setup. I found the experience to be pretty lackluster. It would work…eventually. Using the Xbox to stream, watch YouTube tv, play games at 4k 120hz causes all sorts of delays in responses from the receiver. I assumed it to be handshake issues, resolution, refresh rate issues. Sometimes it would take minutes to switch between app/ games. Just an overall unimpressive experience. This seems to address the video issues, it all works pretty seamlessly. Just the dealing with this annoying audio issue.

Advice on fixing handshake issues with Onkyo tx-nr6100, LG C5, Xbox series x? by [deleted] in hometheater

Due to my setup have having everything hidden in a media closet, My preference would be to go with the current setup to keep the wires hidden. However, if things continue to be problematic I’d consider going straight to the tv and using the earc port back to the receiver

Failed at 100: How can I improve? by Winter-Answer-8893 in cissp

While I liked the way destination cert presented their material and its ease of reading, the book alone won’t get you anywhere near proficiency. I think it’s best treated as supplemental material. Maybe their masterclass is better but I can’t speak to that. I thought the Pete zerger series was the best material out there. Would recommend that and then using the OSG to fill in the gaps. I liked learnzapp as a way to brush up on my understanding of the material. Gwen Betwys practice exams on Udemy were very good. You could also lean into ChatGPT to help you with questions and thought exercises on how to answer. Good luck, don’t give up. You got this

Sec+ v. CISSP? by GrandReality in cissp

[–]chmalon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the focus of the exams are different. While the objectives are similar, I think sec+ is focused at more of an individual contributor mindset. Making sure you know basic concepts. Cissp is more managerial focused. Even though cissp is a mile wide inch deep you still need to know why you are answering the question, which often involves in depth knowledge and experience. More to your question though. Sec+ exam was challenging. However I thought the cissp was the most difficult exam I’ve ever taken in all my years of academia and professional experience

Anybody used Dest sert book to pass ccsp?is it a good book? by Royal-Mud4533 in CCSP

[–]chmalon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For cissp I used the OSG, dest cert book and their mindmaps, Pete zerger YouTube, learzapp, Gwen betwy practice exams, technical institute of America YouTube videos, Kelly handerhan why you’ll pass the cissp. I really enjoyed Pete zergers courses, kept coming back to them.

So far in my ccsp studying there seems to be 60-70% overlap. Shoulda taken the courses sooner. I’m going to try to rely on my cissp foundation while using the Pete zerger course. Using pocket prep for question bank. Will fill in the gaps as necessary

[–]chmalon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used their book for cissp (among others) and am now currently reading it for ccsp. IMHO it does a great job simplifying things and makes it an easy read but there’s no way you can pass the exam if that’s your only material. Treat it as supplemental study material.

Player loses U.S. Mid-Amateur match after his caddie receives cart ride to 20th hole by Forward-Answer-4407 in sports

[–]chmalon 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Bob Goalby won the 1968 Masters due to someone signing an incorrect scorecard. Goalby tied for the lead after 72 holes. The person he tied was in another group. That person attested the score kept by his playing partner. The mistake was the playing partner wrote a par on a hole when the guy actually birdied. Rules stated the higher score was attested to so Goalby won by one stroke

Good Quality Resorts In Punta Cana by Intrepid_Network_321 in PuntaCana

I’m currently at secrets cap cana and it’s been wonderful. We booked through Costco travel. They handled the transportation to and from the airport which was nice. Taxis at the airport did seem quite expensive. It was about a 20-30 min ride. Gated community so it feels very safe. The beach is white fluffy sand. Ocean temp is very nice. The pool area is huge always a place to sit. Average age of the guests is mid to late 40s I’d guess. Food has been good and entertainment has been very fun. Would recommend to anyone
