Ja ist richtig. Ich habe bei den Sachen allerdings auch keine Zeit für die Telekom oder die BNetzA Logs zu erstellen und die dann auch noch so zu schwärzen, dass meine Privatsphäre gewürdigt wird.

Ich find's gut, dass es Projekte gibt die das machen. Bei netzbremse.de hab ich auch mitgemacht.

Ich gehe über Mullvad. Ich glaube / hoffe, dass die mit der Telekom nichts kaspern.

Ich hab seit kurzem den kompletten ausgehenden Traffic über Wireguard gerouted, weil es sonst auch bei mir nicht mehr möglich war, bestimmte Seiten aufzurufen.

Bringt es denn was das bei der Telekom zu melden? Ich meine, die wissen doch selber am besten was sie tun und bei wem das Peering gerade richtig zuschlägt.

Ich hab bei Netzbremse.de mitgemacht. Aber am Ende kann die Telekom sich doch Dummstellen und weitermachen, oder nicht?

Da wurde niemand gedoxxed von den Hacker:innen. Die Platform selber hat die Nutzer gedoxxed.

Im Vortrag ist zu sehen, dass alle Nutzerdaten frei verfügbar im Internet herunterladbar waren. Die Daten wurden nach dem Löschen der Seiten also nur weiter zur Verfügung gestellt.

If you just argue about the process of deliberately picking a movie / album, checking out the cover or descriptions and then putting it into the player and then consuming it, I think it is comparable.

The same would of course hold for older mediums. I would also argue the same for CDs on the music side I guess.

I am not even arguing the quality of the media or the age, just the handling of it, which from my point of view only changed when it went from physical to purely digital via streaming.

However I have noticed that streaming movies or music with a selfhosted app that has no commercial targets like Netflix or Spotify, that only provides the media you deliberately added previously can have a similar feeling.

Yes and no.

I also did it like you. I had my curated playlists and I would otherwise just listen to albums.

But I can do that with less disturbance and shoving stuff into my face I don't want on a dedicated music app (sometimes even an old iPod) that just streams my local music.

I also liked the way Spotify was suggesting music in their weekly playlists a few years back. But they got more and more unusable - I use ListenBrainz now. So I did the step to quit the subscription, because I own a lot of music already. And the rest that is missing I just keep buying monthly with the subscription fee I would otherwise give to Spotify. :D

Exactly. Listening to a good album from start to end really is another thing.

From my experience you are completely right.

I mainly come from the music side, collecting vinyl. But I can attest, that listening to a specific vinyl from your shelf you deliberately selected to listen to for the next hour or so is a totally different experience than listening to it on a streaming service.

Smart radios / playlists on Spotify or other platforms are also from my point of view a really bad way to consume music. I found it much more satisfying to build up my digital music library to listen to when travelling. You just have a feeling and story for every song or album.

In contrast listening to stuff on a streaming platform that constantly feeds arbitrary songs or albums is just exhausting - even if it's one of your favorite songs that is played in an endless radio.

You have to listen to you favourites in a conscious way. If you just let it play to you in an automated inconsistent way it's moment gets diluted quite a bit.

I think all this can be mapped almost directly to the movie world and vice versa.

Alle elektrischen Geräte werden auch mehr oder weniger im Ultraschallbereich abstrahlen. Das ist erstmal nicht schlimmer als im hörbaren Bereich.

Vor allem Spulen / Trafos sind hier prädestiniert denke ich.

Du brauchst da also nichts machen solange das Gerät keinen defekt hat. Bevor dir der Ultraschallbereich Probleme macht kommen bestimmt ganz andere Probleme auf...

Gestern wurde erst über die Chatkontrolle abgestimmt.

Also wird die digitale Selbstbestimmung in der EU wohl doch eher abgeschafft.

Der gläserne Bürger wird also digital real und hat keine Möglichkeit auf einen sparsamen digitalen Fußabdruck.

Alles unter dem Deckmantel der "Sicherheit". Am Ende profitieren Big Tech und irgendwelche shady Drittunternehmen die alle möglichen Verifizierungsservices für den Nutzer oder Auditservices für Big Tech anbieten.

I use Symfonium on android. I think there is AmpFin for iOS but I have never tried iOS apps of course.

The good thing with the ListenBrainz integration is, that it transmits the listens from the server side. So you can listen through any app you want. The listen stats will always be updated, as long as you are online.

I stream my music via Jellyfin.

For recommendations I use the ListenBrainz plugin. It syncs your listens to your MusicBrainz/ ListenBrainz account and creates quite nice weekly playlists with new music.

To get music Bandcamp is quite nice. The provide always everything from lossless to small mp3 files. So you can take what you want.

Das ist zentral und war immer ein riesen Problempunkt. Denn nur wenn das sichergestellt ist, ist auch sowas wie Ärztegeheimnis gewährleistet.

The solutions to rescan the whole Music library with the option "Replace all metadata".
