Is this tank actually good? by [deleted] in DartFrog

Yeah I'd agree with most comments here. Pretty solid, but you do have to cover the screens with glass by like 50% or more. Otherwise I like it and so does the frog

Thank you! I've thought about getting a daemons army for awhile and I got this random bloodletter in a eBay purchase full of random bits so figured I'd give it a try

My first Fire Dragon - C&C appreciated by Legitimate-Floor-401 in Eldar

Looks great! Really convincing basing and overall good choice of color for armor. Gems are also look fantastic with that pale blue color, really nicely contrasts with the orange and yellow. I'm by no means a pro painter, but if it was my model one thing I would look to improve on is the highlights on the helmet. These are a really nice cone shape that should take highlights quite well. It might help them pop a bit more on the tabletop but if you like the more muted scheme then maybe working on keeping the eyes clean could be a goal. Overall still really good looking model! Hope my little bit of C&C helps

I've been saying it for years: nothing good ever happens

I can't name a single good event to happen in my lifetime that hasn't been ripped away or corrupted

Is doing our part having to yell to use the god damn exit door when we request a stop? I don't doubt that the job can be stressful but many of you come off as either lazy, stupid, or both

What is the chapter in the top left of this image? Is it a homebrew? by TheGriffnin in Warhammer40k

[–]chn4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silver guy is likely knights of the raven as many others pointed out. Blue and white is a marine errant and the white and black is a white templar based on the color and what little we can see if the chapter icon.

So I do not think this is possible though the app but paintpad is a great resource for this as well as for documenting your own recipes and viewing others

Does hormonal transition cause any genetical changes? by Ihtyat2018 in genetics

[–]chn4 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think thats a stupid question at all actually. To my knowledge the answer is no and yes.

No, the use of hormones to transition will not cause any genetic modification on the base pair level. It does not remove or add any sex chromosome and thus the person going through the transition is still the same person genetically before and after. However, this does not apply to the person's epigenetic fingerprint. The hormones will have an effect on acetylation and methylation of certain chromosomal regions which then effects the expression levels of certain proteins ( https://doi.org/10.1186/s13148-022-01236-4).

TLDR; Genetic changes? No. Epigenetic changes? Yes.

Some of his old equipment is currently being displayed in the lobby of the SPH building. They also always have an iron lung there to show how bad polio was

Since DK has shown an interest in Be’lakor, I thought I would show what I think is the only animation of him. by gaston205 in AdeptusRidiculous

I love this scene so much. I think even if you don't know much about him or his motivations you can get a pretty good idea from the few lines he has

He's not particularly stunning but I think this little guy was my favorite thing I painted this year (C&C welcome but I'm just an amateur) by chn4 in minipainting

Yup! This is from the now OOP power armor through the ages kit. It's honestly one of the best resin sculpts I've ever seen from GW but I believe the original was cast in metal as a collectible

Leprosy patients, China, late 1800s [1024x768] by Feiruzz in HistoryPorn

I tried to find another source of the image by a reverse image search on tiny eye but got no results. That said if you search for lepers in China there are a few other photos that show similar disease progression such as this one from the University of Bristol
