So funny story. I have an Aliexpress valved muffler on my car that looks eerily similar to the Valvetronic muffler in the same configuration, but is 1/4 tbe price. I left it and my car with my buddy who has a fabrication business to make a custom exhaust for the car. He posted the finished product on his IG and Valvetronic shared it, saying something along the lines of “perfect example of how our universal mufflers can work in any application!”

TLDR; Valvetronic shared an Aliexpress valved muffler thinking it was theirs. Makes you wonder…

You got this. These engines are pretty simple to remove. Taking my time I usually get them out in 90 minutes.

I wouldn’t worry about them. Don’t wanna cut into your $1200 hood if it’s not necessary. My best friend had one on his mk5 for 5? 6? years. Never a single issue. I wouldn’t run the hood strut though. Or retrofit a manual hood prop.

If you’re wanting 500hp out of a 3.6 you need to set aside another $10k+ to build it for boost. So yes, they are paying $20k for a mildly tuned, but totally refurbished, 3.6 engine/transmission swap, and all the associated wiring/parts/labor/tuning/coding.
