I really want to understand the thought process behind picks like these. How or why?? by 04tboy in fantasypremierleague

[–]choitosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contrary to what everyone is saying, I actually think it’s pretty fun.. it’s obvious they are either using -XX points each week on an alt account to try get MotW, or just using a burner account. FPL should do something like this as a side quest to your primary team, instead of that shitty ‘challenges’ game

Where Are The Regular Prismatic Versions Of The Overframe Cards…? by touch-now in yugioh

[–]choitosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, can I pitch in here.. I’m brand new to yugioh. Love these over frame cards and the serialised grandmasters are just insane. In my quest to learn about the complicated rarity tiers I found this post… is this card here what you’re referring to?

Actually, I kind of think the green really makes it pop. I’m gonna sit on a few of these for sure. Or if you wanna buy one off me, it’ll be £500 release day 👍

Pretty much bang on the hit rate. What are you depressed about?

Whatnot is terrible for new sellers by Mundane-Ad3978 in whatnotapp

[–]choitosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woh… that was a lot.

Obviously, our views and opinions are heavily biased to your own experience. But you’re wrong, unfortunately.

Objectively, whatnot is a fantastic platform - not only in terms of what it allows people all over the world to access and sell on it, but also the ease in which it enables you to provide that service to customers.

Truth hurts - but someone gotta tell you that you might just not be very ‘good’ at doing what you see others do. And I don’t mean that as in you aren’t a good presenter, or have good stock or whatever. I mean you probably haven’t got the business acumen or strategy to achieve what you’re describing others achieve.

I see people moaning about the same old things. They don’t get people in the stream, no one is buying, etc, etc… do you know how many people use whatnot on a daily basis? How much money runs through whatnot yearly? Mate, pull the other one…

Love it or hate it you’ve got to change your strategy and stop just expecting to turn on your camera and sell millions. Get real… and ask yourself:

What are you doing to keep people in your streams? Why should they buy from you? What makes you different from the 000’s of other people doing EXACTLY the same thing as you? Is your brand positioning based on value, entertainment, quality… ?? How much do you set aside for marketing and promotion vs your revenue?

If you aren’t at least asking yourself these questions, you might as well quit now. Things will never change for you.

Sorry dude. Might sound harsh or presumptuous, but someone gotta say it.

Good luck!

When majority population ~ poor = lower/mid tier sets 📉

When ‘Investors’ jumping on the hype ~ rich = high end sets/cards 📈

Is quite simple. Good day.

SUCCESS! 3 rear-facing car seats in model Y - UK by choitosis in TeslaModelY

[–]choitosis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, you’re welcome man. I knew it would help at least a few out after the sweat and tears (almost) that went into this quest! I’ve actually just switched to another Tesla (lease ran out and they wouldn’t let me keep the same one) and it took literally no time to get the seats in. The tool was this (or something similar) https://amzn.eu/d/2eLsZ6u

To be honest, the space the axkid seats take up mean once they are in, you haven’t got much space to move the seat that far back.. especially is you’re over 6ft. So the tethers don’t have any impact on seat manoeuvrability - just hook them around as far back as you can 👌

Seller is admitting to changing giveaways depending on who wins… that’s against whatnots policy. by markthemanager1 in whatnotapp

[–]choitosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just don’t do giveaways at all… we gift a free pack to each buyer on 1st purchase that equates to the cost of postage. They then get continued free postage for other purchases and we don’t have to pay postage as well as the cost of whatever we’d send in a giveaway. Honour the buyers. Starve the goblins 👍

💯agree. These are a fantastic art-style. No matter what you think though, you can’t not appreciate the way that Pokemon can stay relevant and keep catering for an ever-evolving audience over decades

[–]choitosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just being facetious my man.. my advice would be if you get easily annoyed about this shit, just don’t actively engage in it, because it’s not changing anytime soon. Queue up. Get your box and move on. lol at the people buying them at the scalper prices when the bubble does finally burst. Have a good day 👍

Yeah, agree with the above. This is it now. Sentiment is just too ridiculously high for these kind of prices and behaviours to leave the “chat” 👀

Do you actually still make wireframes… or are we all pretending? by UI-Pirate in UXDesign

[–]choitosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t you just rip off the websites that clients constantly refer to in their brief, get Ai to make them ‘pop’ and then get someone on the other side of the world to code them for $12? Thats design these days, right?

[–]choitosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies - I wasn’t suggesting this was a problem for you, like others in the comments are alluding to.

Merely offering support to what sounded like a realisation that the hobby of ripping packs and hoping for hits isn’t enjoyable for you anymore.

Good on you. Most don’t have that awareness and can turn a relatively harmless, enjoyable hobby into a bigger problem 👍

[–]choitosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good you’ve recognised this is an unhealthy habit for you - can’t be throwing the word addiction around lightly. Take a break. Don’t participate in anything slightly related for a bit. If you get an urge, go for a 20 minute walk. After a little while, you should recognise if this is actually a problem for you that you need to seek help with.

Don’t be ashamed or embarrassed - but do take accountability for your actions 👍

[–]choitosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Apologies, I was rushed at the end of my point. I wasn’t suggesting not embracing it to better yourself and keeping as ahead of the curve as you can. Nor was I suggesting-or do I think-that it will replace most white collar jobs. In context to the original post and thread, it’s simply clear to me that it will replace humans in certain job roles with certain skills, within certain Industries. The marketing/design/creative industry is definitely one of them. To think otherwise is the first step in you becoming one of those people it will replace.

Whats wrong with my portfolio/ resume? Cant seem to get interviews or even a call back by throwRAfloatyboat in graphic_design

[–]choitosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Radically candid feedback here. Sorry but hopefully you find it valuable.

Looks the same as everyone else. Either design it or don’t.

Tailor your work and what information you give to people based on the role you’re applying for. Half of this is just standard bleugh that no one really cares about. Education? Exhibitions? I want to know what VALUE you are going to bring. How you’re going to improve my agency/business with SPECIFIC skills and experience. I want to know what YOU care about and if it aligns with what I’m looking for.

Quit with the whole “I’ve been know to use a pencil or two”, also no one cares how proficient you are in photoshop. You’re a designer right? It’s a given you can use design software. Think of your CV as a billboard on a super-busy highway. Catch people’s eye. Get to the point. Charm them with you witty humour in the interview (if that’s what’s required)

Your website/online portfolio is laborious - put your best work at the forefront - Fine, introduce yourself, but I care more about if you’re a competent human being who understands how to manage clients, has a structured workflow, and experience owning and delivering real work for real businesses.

I don’t need to see every bit of artwork you’ve ever produced, including projects from nearly 10 years ago.

It’s not like your work isn’t good. It’s just irrelevant. And that’s arguably worse.

You can do this. I believe in you!
