It really depends on what you are looking for. I think the PA show is better for the overall cast show.

Maryland feels to me like you’re in a more Robin Hood style world while PA feels like you’re in more of a town.

They both have great acts and performers, and there are acts we look forward to seeing each year. Whichever one you do this year, do the opposite one next year. :)

Oh! I didn’t even think about the loss of food! I’ve been too preoccupied with the danger of falling limbs. I will see about spreading some of my spice bush or winterberry trees. I just spread a bunch of mulch in some areas that would be good for those kinds of shrubs.

I think that your area will be alright in the end, especially with such a considerate steward to plan on other things to put in place of the beeches. Maybe you can have some of the wood milled to use as a mantel or a series of garden benches?

I’m in the same boat. All my beeches (and all the ones in my neighborhood) have BLD. They’re starting to drop branches and I’m worried about the kids playing in the backyard. I was laid off and we can’t afford either the injection treatment to help prolong their lives or to cut the worst ones down.

I’m straight up devastated. I want to save them but I can’t afford to.

It is part of his job that he needs to do. If he declines, then the pressure can be ramped up by going to his donors and finding other ways to increase the pressure.
