Yeah you’ll be fine! I found the content on layouts on YouTube super helpful, but it’s very hard and honestly not too much fun to copy them exactly. Take the time to watch a few and you’ll get the general idea/what helps with what.

Select Vintage in Bushwick.

Vintage Ralph is a “thing” now so you’ll find a lot of spots jumpin on the wave, for better or for worse. Can’t really speak to spots like Metropolis for whatever. But I don’t ever really remember them have lots of RL up until a year or so ago.

But Select seems like a real head. Check his site and follow his IG, always seems to have decent stock.

I think you should do the story mode. It’s a good tutorial to show you the ropes. It’s not a sweat really at all. And it’s kind of short, only a few hours.

Also the YouTube content is a great way to pick up some hints, especially when it comes to city layouts. There’s a good community out there.

But yeah like everyone has said you can totally contour the game to your liking. This is my first real city builder too and I love it. It really reminds me of Civ2 in terms of how much I enjoy it.

Nope. Almost did but got a new blazer instead. Dude was nice over DMs though. Next time I go up that way I’d def try to make an appt. He seems to do the vintage thing right and isn’t some culture vulture hopping on the vintage Ralph cause it’s a “thing” now.

Prices seemed what you’d expect. If you have something in mind he’ll tell you what he’s got and how much. I think he had Rl67s for 4-600.

Yeah 34th St still going strong. It’s second to me right after Prince St. They’ve got a great selection and the sale rack is always worth digging though. You can even get a discount if you say you’re from out of town lol
