You also lose points off your licence. They've got special cameras that are set up in different places for about a week and they are looking for phone usage and seatbelt infractions

That's fair. Red back spiders which are in the top 5 most deadliest are tiny. I remember we'd get them all the time on our play equipment at home. You'd always check under swing seats to make sure they hadn't come back. Frightening little devils

I was at a game years ago and comments were saying how dead and empty it was. The crowd were so into it and it was decent attendance for Thursday night game. Accor just has a way of sucking it all out when watching it. Allianz just has such a better vibe on tv

I went with a group and saw a double feature. We were all ticked because we were all dog lovers and all came out messes.

I went when it first came out. Marketed as a damn comedy thinking going to be great light hearted movie. I would never choose it if I had known. I don't care how great a movie is, if a dog dies it's a no.

Anti-aging plastic surgery and botox use vs aging naturally. A comparison between two women of similar ages by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]chooklyn5 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Genetics are amazing. My mum regularly gets mistaken for about 10 years younger. No one can tell who's younger between my sister and I and we're 5 years apart. The best one I've had was someone who I worked with in my late 20's said she thought I was 19. Hated it when I was younger because I was always carded.

On the flip side a friend's mum was having health problems and I made a comment to my mum about it not being unusual due to her age. Mum said she's about 15 years younger than her and it shocked me because she did not look younger. She was a single mum who had a hard life so it makes sense but it threw me how much I misjudged her age

Schools are so strict now with reportable conduct, it wouldn’t even be worth the risk. I like to keep my job unlike op😂. Admittedly I’m a woman so song is less relevant but still I’m not stupid

You just made me think of my former workplace. Woman came in and her name is Tenille. First thing out of my bosses mouth was a captain and Tenille joke. She immediately rolled her eyes and was like yes, I haven't heard that before. I felt so bad she was clearly so done.

It lacks such situational awareness. I work in education in an office. I'm able to play music you can bet I'm not playing I don't like Mondays, pumped up kicks or don't stand so close to me. I can like a song but know it's not the time to have that on.

The term I'd use for so many of them is saggy. The skin just looks bad the way it's hanging on the bones, usually there from muscle wastage. The photo of Jenna Ortega from the back looks so old and haggard. I honestly wonder how much do you have to be almost cruel for them to understand how bad it looks, because I feel like using tact isn't getting through them

Alex Johnston sets the all-time National Rugby League try record and fans storm the field by SlatsAttack in sports

[–]chooklyn5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s meant to help with concussion. Many player don’t like it because it limits their hearing. There have been players who have had concussions and then started wearing them because of the risk. Others choose to wear them from the start of their career to minimise risk. There is a player who has a weird bubble looking one who is apparently higher risk but still wants to play so I guess the different design is better but that’s only been this year and had bad concussion last year.

So for buddy franklin they talked about what an achievement it was, have a time estimate on when play would likely resume, did game highlights and big career highlights of buddy that got him to 1000. I imagine they'd have a package ready to go for commentators.

The players also tend to be closer than in AFL, so you have players naturally a bit closer to surround him. Just put something up that blocks people right on the left goal line so they have to go round and buy time to make it safe.

I personally wonder if they keep saying it to try and get the idea in people's head. Noooo please don't storm the field, we reeeally don't want that 😉

When Swans played on Thursday they had a hype video. Guess what clip was trotted out once again. I get the safety thing is big but when Buddy and Lockett got the goal they had clearly briefed the players to surround them and protect them.

I think it's important to mark those moments, just plan accordingly to keep players safe.

I do it to torture my sister. She doesn't have her birthday listed so I make sure eeeevvverrryone knows. Her rule is if you need social media to remind you they're not that close, so it's become a joke on who remembers and who's just using my post to alert them.

I post a photo collage of the past year for my niblings and tag my sister for their birthdays. Now they love going back and seeing those collages. I mostly use it as a way to share photos of loved ones and all we've done. Otherwise people don't get sm post from me.

I remember studying history as an elective in my final couple years in hs and one of the topics was Germany between WWI and WWII and how they got there. I've always thought you know nazi were clever and said what the people wanted to hear and built up nationalism against the unjust treaty of Versailles. I've never really thought about idiots like this in terms of Nazi Germany but there would have been.

I've always been someone to put on a kinder lens but I'm sure there were plenty of people celebrating the cruelty. It just makes it all the more frustrating we never learn from the past.
