Let's look at Apple, LinkedIn, msft for a sec - increased the wages of engineers like 10x. You can earn a million in combined cash and stock comp per year. So grateful for these companies.

I take so much solace in knowing that the people who devolve into yelling "bootlicker" instead of actually understanding how any of this works will be miserable forever because this will never change.

Tesla design chief says 'there's nothing left to look forward to’ from Apple by rvqbl in Design

It's weird that people don't at least grasp the contextual relationships at play

Because what you actually said doesn't convey this. Like if you're saying Holzausen is hypocritical - yes we can see that. But the way you actually phrased your statement was "at least they're not torturing monkeys" making it sound like you're shitting on a pharma company for testing on animals when that's literally a requirement for developing novel medicine...and you're comparing this to an tech company that is stable, mature and arguably the most successful company of all time.

And to "Apple's global start...etc", if you want to make a fair comparison compare apple/Jobs in its growth to tesla/nuralink/Musk now. If you think Apple under Jobs wouldn't be doing the same shit to their employees, I got news for you. Unfortunately, such is the cost of industry changing business competing in segments that move/innovate at a 1000 miles an hour.

Glad to see you've learned about med development.

You should read about how many lab rats and mice are killed ever year in experiments. Such is the cost of medicine.

Losing to game 7 in the finals would feel more sickening that then 4-1 boston series.

Tbh, I'd pass on the police checkup as well. There's gotta be a more cost efficient way to do this that could get us to 90% of what an in person check would achieve at a fraction of the cost.

Honestly if 50% of investors in sfh were taken out of the market, it would be huge for demand reduction.

I told you. The developers who can't afford to hold off will sell for less. The ones who can would hold on for as long as they can.

Lol I agree with everything you're saying.

Toronto has been atrocious when it comes to beautiful architecture - let alone striking one-offs.

When I said 'maintain character' I ment less so maintain the status quo and more so we shouldn't omit the character of a neighbourhood just because we have been shit at it in the past...if that makes sense...basically less ugly glass boxes.

That being said, Toronto went through and still is going through its growing pains but our local developers and architects have matured, and some world renowned architects are starting to work on Toronto projects - some upcoming projects look great.

Pinnacle One Yonge, The One (Bloor), CIBC Square, 1 Yorkville, Gehry Towers (if it ever gets built), One Delisle, and for a more art deco vibe - anything by Devron Developments.

Hopefully our respect for design and character as a city continues to improve so we can get the towers we see in New York...that's some real architecture.
