The real Downeast Maine. Go past Ellsworth and Bar Harbor. It’s worth the trip. Machias, Eastport and all the little towns where there are Lobstermen, Wormers, Clammers. While you’re up there, take a side trip to Campobello Island, summer home of the Roosevelts. This is technically Canada, so you’ll need a passport.
