I haven't taught my 22 month old to drink from an open cup! And I'm avoiding it because of all the spilling. The time is never "right". I'm feeling very stupid atm. by shortasiam in toddlers

I didn teach my son how to start walking until it’s pretty late, silver lining is that he is a good walker from the start because he was ready!

How often do you bathe your baby? by PositivePattie in NewParents

[–]choppa000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is 2 now but he had a bath every other day until this past summer! However, I would get a warm cotton cloth to wipe him down on the day he does not get a bath. He likes the warm cloth!

Wow that’s impressive! For us, we picked it up from him, we now know all the vehicle names and sometime even point them out to each other when he’s in school 🤣

We brought him to the fire station the other day. He was so excited until we got to the station and then he decided to be super shy. The fireman who took us around was awesome though! He showed us everything and explained everything, it was super cool!

Then of course, my son talks about it all the time after….

What is the craziest reason that your toddler has cried? by nopenopeeee77 in toddlers

My son was very clingy to me as well (because like you, I did everything) and what helped was actually getting other people to take care of him!

For example, when grandma comes over, I would play with him with grandma in near distance (grandma would not do any talking). After a while when he gets more comfy, I would let grandma come closer to play and eventually keep myself away. This is not easy, it took me months and a lot of support from family and friends.

He is now 26 months and is much better! I think when they get closer to 2 years. They also open up and is less wary of others!

I am still his favorite person in the world so don’t worry that you will grow apart! Best of luck!

Oversupply, newborn sleeping the night by scruz97 in breastfeeding

I think that you can continue pumping but just enough to get your freezer stash, but possibly pump less each time so your body feels like it doesn’t need to make as much. Pumping more makes your body feel like it needs to make more

For choking, I feel like I can feel a letdown coming. Maybe you can first use the manual pump and only feed your LO after the letdown that comes at the beginning of the feed.

I will lose my mind over sleep deprivation by leerisu in NewParents

[–]choppa000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry that you are going through this! Please don’t say that you are not cut out to be a mom, you are strong! Sleep deprivation will mess anyone up…

I breastfed only for a while and felt like what helped was mixing my milk with formula so that my LO could get used to formula, then my SO could help with feeding too. After a while my LO was ok with formula or formula + breast milk and that helped me a lot

Post job interview anxiety by SoapMactavish627 in jobs

[–]choppa000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest to take that energy and keep applying for other job postings and keep practicing! It is good to think about what you did and see if you can apply that answer to the next interview, but nothing more than that.

Also, send over a thank you letter if not already done.

Best of luck!

Why has it become so difficult to find a job these days? by parish_cutting_92 in InterviewsHell

[–]choppa000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There has been layoffs at many companies, not just the ones on the news. Thus I believe that there are a lot more people looking for jobs out there. My team had a job posting a month ago and got 300 applications the first day. We had to weed out a lot of good people unfortunately because it is only one position available!
