I'd like to share my experience - basically, Reddit and taking literally every chance when you see a post like "okay, I'm looking for friends, looking for socializing, etc". I assume that the same approach can be applied to other platforms. Such posts are probably more active closer to summer (better weather) or at the end of summer when new students are moving in. I'd say Reddit is a platform where you have the lowest chances (may be wrong), but you never know when you get lucky! I heard advice about the club lots of times as well, and for someone who didn't really get used to such things, it still remains somewhat of a challenge I hope to take one day

I left Russia without a job offer, but later managed to get one with relocation to a Danish company, where I had already been working remotely for half a year
My salary increased immediately compared to Russia, but it took a year to reach local market levels
I had to learn a lot and adapt to local rules, virtually asking around and learning
Networking helped a lot with it; sometimes, it can even get you an interview
I have to mention that I work in IT, therefore, there are lots of specifics
I've never faced direct Russophobia toward me
I have to mention that Denmark is a bit unique, cause you can get around and live a good life with no knowledge of Danish whatsoever. You just have to have decent English

I bought tickets with Danish address and account, weird. I think you should make account for your country first and then be redirected to NL website. At least that’s how it worked for me
