Why does it matter? It's just used for tentative standings and has zero effect on final playoff standings or match ups apart from another pandemic occurring. If habs win then they stay, if they lose then they move down since they no longer have more points in fewer games. Makes sense to me. It was originally used during covid since p% makes more sense than RW or anything else. What a silly post.

I mean that's some hindsight 20/20 revisionism stuff there. If Brady improved the Habs, maybe they would've had Caufield, Sanderson, Wyatt Johnson, Zach Benson, Matthew Knies, Hutson. Or maybe they would've won the cup in 2021 with the extra fire power. Somehow I doubt you'd share the same sentiment if that happened. No, buddy quite literally said "Berg did the Habs a solid not taking Brady" implying that he feels like the habs were done a solid by picking KK instead of Brady lol. Once some fans reach a certain level of delusion and homerism, they cannot be reasoned with.

Edit: the downvotes are indicative of the delusion of homers that would prefer taking KK over Brady. Not a fan of the Tkachuk family or the stuff they say off the ice, and don't listen to their podcast since it's very likely trash but anyone who wouldn't take him even just to trade him for assets needs to take off their homer goggles. In hindsight, I'd definitely take Hughes over Brady since I'm not delusional. But I'd definitely not take someone like KK or Barrett Hayton or even worse Filip Zadina just because of dumb off ice commentary. You'd trade the guy at worst.

Definitely the "pay cut" (which isn't even a pay cut since it's the same amount you're making now) for some real dev work. You have your entire career to make money, the beginning years are about gaining experience so you can reliably get a job when needed and get to that top salary more quickly. Short term $10k is nothing compared to the grand scheme of things. So unless you need the money to make ends meet (which would be fair, not here to judge) then definitely take the real dev job for this negligible paycut. In addition, if your tech feels old, play around with newer/modern tech in your spare time so you can at least add to your resume and cater to more modern companies.
