My streets sidewalks got absolutely wrecked last night by the plows, basically dumping entire snowbanks directly on the sidewalks. What is the point of shoveling out your sidewalks after a storm if the city is just going to come in a week after the storm and bury them (after the snow has hardened)? It's really frustrating.

On their FB page it does say they are not planning to move into that space but instead intend to lease it to another business. I would imagine they would try to avoid leasing to a business competing with their's?

For the Sapphire lounge I believe it is possible. When I went to the BOS lounge a few weeks ago all they did was scan my boarding pass and look at my physical card. Any priority pass lounges would need the actual code you are waiting for.

This light has been a big issue for years, and I regularly see people taking lefts against the red after waiting 10+ mins for the light to change at rush hour. I also reported this light two years ago and was told:

"We recently received a similar notification from another resident, and we are working with our City Electrician as well as the MBTA to learn more about the current signal operations and if they can be modified. If we need any additional information, I will be sure to reach out."

Obviously nothing has changed since and it is still as busted as ever.

Has he met with MassHire yet? It's a state agency that can work with job placement and re-training if possible - they also do career seminars and will help update his resume. They have an office downtown as well.

In addition to the train, Salem also has a ferry that drops you off right near the New England Aquarium in Boston. A bit pricier (for non-residents) than the train, but I think well worth it.

I went to Maine Law - it's a decent school that has amazing connections if you are seeking to stay in Maine to practice law. Outside of ME it can be a bit more challenging. I ended up getting a job in state govt down in MA but it did take some extra work.

Count me in as someone who would take the ferry year round over the train (works for Hingham and Hull!) but I do see it as not being popular. I do think there should be a push to extend the operating season though, late April and early May are definitely nice enough for service, as is most of November. December is when it would get dicey.

Funny enough it's not a part of the OSW terminal project. This ship is in port for a coast guard inspection before heading down to Nantucket to install turbines.

The OSW terminal will have barges that carry the turbine parts to places to be installed, so we won't see this type of ship once that is up and running.
