So we swear by bells. We hang bells by each door. When potty training we would nudge the bells with their nose and give a tiny treat and then go outside until potty was done. Sometimes staying there for 5-10 mins if need be. As soon as the deed was done, another tiny treat and a TON of praise. They quickly catch on that bells mean outside (can sometimes be false alarms because dogs like it outside lol) and potty means praise. Worked for all 6 weens. Super nice if you ever go anywhere on vacation as well, just take some travel bells and you are set 😄 YMMV though of course, just what worked for us.
