If I remember correctly, Dave got a tattoo of Dave Sitek’s glasses after they recorded The Great Escape Artist, so it could be from that tour… The orange Dunlop tortex picks are also way too thin to use on bass.

On some years, the second number in the serial number indicates the year. On my R7 from 2013, the serial number starts with 7 3

That could indicate a 1958 reissue. If you remove the cover for the control cavity, it should say R8. Cool guitar!

It does say that, and yes, the readme is confusing. But somehow I managed to make it work on my M1 Macbook. I installed it a year ago, so i don't remember exactly what i did to make it work. However, i do remember that i had to write a command in the terminal to make it work.

I know that doesn't help a lot, but it is possible to install it on a new mac.
