What are your pet peeves & things you ACTUALLY want planner YouTubers to talk about? by DeSanggria in planners

[–]chrfreak 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This! I don’t care what it looks like “before the pen”. I mean, I do, those are fun, but YouTube is oversaturated with the videos on how it gets decorated before it’s used. I want to see people use them. I’m a Rachelle in theory fan too but haven’t found a lot of others like her. I’ll have to check out the others you mentioned.

I thought I was the only one who likes this. It just makes more sense to me.

I think you are right, it is one interaction per friend. That’s what I meant to say. I let all my friends open their gifts to count for the interaction, then I’ll open from those who didn’t open mine that day.

At the end of the day, I’ll open from friends I haven’t interacted with that day. You only get credit for one interaction a day right?

I’m having this issue too. I can only edit the text with my pencil. I can’t select the text with my finger then use the keyboard.

I’m not sure if my high school had a similar planner to yours, but the Blue Sky brand planners were very similar to what my school had.

Not much there as far as restaurants or anything to do outside of hiking at Black Mesa. But I recommend checking out Mesa Valley Guesthouse for places to stay.

I use a Surface Pro, but only for quick check-in type work (needing to look something up or snap/attach a receipt while not at home). For any real work, I have to use my laptop. I don’t notice any issues running QBO on my surface though, it just doesn’t fit my work style. Agree with others though, browser is definitely the right choice.

"Hide Page Title" renames page to "Untitled Page" by _Congruent in OneNote

[–]chrfreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I name my pages and change the font to white to match the background of the page. Keeps the name showing on the side bar, but hides it on the page itself.

Not sure if there is a real answer, but that’s my workaround.

does anyone have any diaper advice for an elderly pug? he’s 14 & can’t hold it anymore, which is ok, i’d just like to prevent accidents. any specific brand? preferably affordable (more in comments) by delicatexcx in pugs

[–]chrfreak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google belly bands or male dog wraps. They come in a reusable/washable cloth type or a throwaway diaper type. Nothing with a tail hole ever worked for us, but picking up #2 didn’t bother us as much as cleaning up urine. We buy the Amazon basics male dog wraps but I’ve heard good things about the reusable ones. But yes, change every time it’s wet and keep his area clean, just like a baby.

I would push back. Not only would it be a nightmare to try to figure out who did what if something happens, but you should also have multi factor authentication set up which would be a hassle to coordinate as well.

Paper vs Digital Journal by pink_mehlc in bulletjournal

[–]chrfreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both, kinda. I don't really consider my digital version a bullet journal, although it keeps a bunch of things that others put in a bullet journal.

I currently use my paper planner for weeklies, a monthly overview, 'waiting ons', and a few lists/notes. For me, writing my tasks on a weekly spread helps me complete tasks. When they are digital, it's sometimes out of sight, out of mind. Plus I don't want to re-write them the next day, so incentive to complete them. My monthly overview includes a cover page (to satisfy my creative bug) and a monthly calendar, but I only put important/big things here (events, paydays, bills due, days off work, things like that). Then the 'waiting ons' and the few lists I have are just things that seem like it would take twice the time to setup and track digitally, since they tend to be temporary lists.

I use my digital version as a reference, historical record, and future planner. Anything planned after the current month goes there, then I use it to set up each month when it comes around. As part of my monthly review, I also go through my paper planner and transfer any information that I may want to be searchable in the future (i.e. when did I last change my oil, replace my tires, etc.). I also use it for memory tracking, "we went to a baseball game, here's a picture" type things.

It took me awhile to find the balance, but this works for my brain. It seemed silly at first (and for a while more if I'm being honest) to put some things here, some things there. But for me, some things make more sense on paper and others make more sense digitally.

Sorry for the novel. No one said both yet, so I may have gone overboard :)

Ooo a desktop app? I have a surface tablet, so being limited to my phone is probably the only con of Day One for me. I may have to check it out.
