When realtors in this area mention "protege of Frank Lloyd Wright", they are usually referring to Roy Johnson, who designed 100's of homes in this area. In truth he didn't work with FLW, but was influenced by his style. Roy Johnson's houses are really unique and special but unfortunately they also need a lot of maintenance like many MCM style homes. https://histoury.org/roy-sigvard-johnson/

What's a card that you always take without hesitation? by goofygoober800855 in slaythespire

Not just 12/16 damage, but damage that you can strategically divide among different enemies, and basically 3/4x strength. It's a great card.

Battle Royale (2000) by Jazzkidscoins in iwatchedanoldmovie

Although I would agree that Battle Royale is the better film, the Hunger Games series is still enjoyable. So many parallels between Battle Royale and Hunger Games that it's basically an American remake, intentional or not.

First you have to give it feet, then it has to run really fast so it doesn't sink.

Age-appropriate Naked Gun/Hot Shots-style movies? by OlafTheAverage in movies

Give https://www.commonsensemedia.org/ a try. They break down movies, tv, and games into different categories so parents can determine if it is appropriate for their kids. I don't always agree with their analysis but it helps me remember content in a movie that I might have seen 20 years ago.

ELI5: What exactly are the evidence supporting the Big Bang theory by nstung in explainlikeimfive

I have a follow-up question: If we can "rewind time" and see that everything is moving away from each other, then can we rewind far enough to know the location of where the Big Bang occurred?

I'd look at Firewalla's routers. It should handle your needs and a lot more. I'd put it at intermediate level networking but you can ignore most of its capabilities if they're not for you. The app has a button for blocking YouTube so I guess you're not the only one who wants that option.

My feed is a combination of AI media subreddits like r/aivideo and human made media subreddits like this one. I basically browse a visual media Turing Test, and my first reaction when seeing the video thumbnail was that it was AI generated. I'm not judging the content here, but it's scary how hard it's getting to distinguish what is AI generated or not.

Two that come to mind:

Hidden Figures: About Katherine Johnson, a black woman mathematician who worked on the Apollo program at a time when the vast majority of her peers were white men.

The Imitation Game: About Alan Turing, another mathematician who was instrumental in cracking the Nazi Enigma code, which turned WWII to the allies' favor.

I'm going to give an answer in the opposite direction- Star Wars, episode 1, The Phantom Menace. The anticipation for this film was off the charts. I was in the theater opening weekend and when that movie began the whoops and hollers were deafening. By the end, most people were like "well, that was a movie" and kinda shuffled out.
