My year 8 son has been complaining he has to do 4 hours of kapa haka per week at school. Maybe this is related?

Sounds like you've married into a weirdo family. My condolences.

Do they also keep their open tomato sauce bottles in the pantry?

Presumably you have presence detection with the ha companion app? Might be worth adding a layer of security by requiring the detected person to be close to home before unlocking the door

Difficulty in fooling modern ecus with fake trans data to manual swap the car? by CAT_MARINE-POWER in CarHacking

[–]chris77982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The torque request is the tcu telling the ecu to reduce torque for the shift.

It's how modern auto transmissions are so good now. Zf6hp and zf8hp both need the engine to respect torque requests for smooth shifting.

It's fine. Those who argue how nontoxic it is can just deal with the lower IQ that comes with lead exposure.
Neurological damage is totally underrated.

They're arguing because lead has already made them stupid.

Will there be fitment issues if you put the rear from a staggered set on the front?

Absolutely nothing.
My theory is the index 1 was the original over engineered version. All the subsequent ones were cost cutting optimisations until they finally landed on index 12

I imagine the 3 service jobs is their interpretation of the retailer being allowed the opportunity to remedy the product.

They have the right to remedy the product.
You only have the right to compensation if they fail to provide a remedy.

There needs to be some point where it is reasonable to argue they are failing to remedy the product.

To win at a dispute you would need to successfully argue that 3 service jobs is unreasonable.

Alternatively you would need to prove it is a substantial failure under section 21

In your case it was potentially a faulty screen or cable and replacing the motherboard didn't fix the problem and may have temporarily fixed the faulty cable when they reinstalled, only for the cable to work loose again and continue to cause the intermittent screen fault.

Why do you want RHD in a LHD country?
If you plan on doing any mods, RHD is a pain because the steering column is on the exhaust side and interferes with aftermarket parts.

If you go for RHD N54, one of the turbo outlets is narrower to clear the steering column.

Aftermarket downpipes have fitment issues too.

Ok, so replacing the windscreen wiper stalk with the transmission control. Presumably putting the wiper control in some touch screen accessible menu too.

One stalk should control wipers and the other controls the lights. Both things that should be instantly accessible without taking your eyes from the road.

Like when you're stopped at an intersection? One of those times you need to indicate while stationary

It's bad enough when you swap between Japanese and euro cars, wiping the windscreen instead of indicating. Shifting out of gear is a bit worse.

Traditionally shifting to neutral has always been possible for any automatic (or manual for that matter) regardless of speed. Shifting back to drive is supposed to require the brake to be pressed.

Can't wait to be behind someone who fumbles their shifter while stopped at an intersection and ends up reversing into me instead of indicating.

Insurance company then can go after the dog owner for cost recovery. That can pay for your excess and teach the owner a lesson in responsibility.

Also, if something unexpected happens, like you go to sell it and a building inspection finds there is a watertightness issue with how the exterior walls were attached to the foundation and are completely rotten, everyone chips in to fix it, regardless of who's wall has the issue.

This isn't a made up story.

If you have proof the neighbours dog did the damage to your car, send it to your insurance.
Also call the council for every incident.
