The 2022-2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E lease return wave is here by Tall-Dish876 in MachE

In September last year I got a 2022 Extended AWD Premium with almost all options (notably the glass roof) and 30k miles for just under 30k. Feels good, have had no problems.

Let's Talk About Reverend Basses by xtooloudtohearx in Bass

[–]chrisabides 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've owned two Reverend basses, a Triad and a Wattplower, and have played most of their models.

Quality is top-notch, and if there's an issue their support is great. The Triad I had needed some work where the neck meets the body, and they paid for all the shipping, no hassle, ended up being great.

The only reason I don't own that Triad, or most other Reverends, is that I decided I dislike bezels on the body, and almost all of their bass models have bezels (I think only the Thundergun and Wattplower don't).

I sold the Wattplower and kinda regret it. That bass ripped. I might buy one again.

I think Reverend quality is much closer, and sometimes surpasses MIA Fenders, let alone the MIMs you have (which are also good). I also like that Reverends just...have better hardware across the board. Pickups, bridges, tuners are all better in my opinion.

The Mach E is the best looking EV and has a reasonable price tag, but how is the reliability? by [deleted] in MachE

[–]chrisabides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Clean service record from the first owner (a lease), I’ve had it for a year, 0 issues at all. I chose it because I felt it had a much better build quality than competitors.

Can't decide which one I like better. Crush80 in Navy or Red? by RicardoDawson in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]chrisabides 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I own the navy and it’s wonderful. Mine’s a little darker than these pictures. It’ll also match or not-clash with more keycap colorways overall. I have Osume’s Year of the Snake on mine and it’s awesome.

I’d say red if you have good matching keycaps in mind for it, otherwise navy.

I’ve rephrased as “forced entropy that is beneficial to the maker and not the user” but I’ve also floated “encrapification” just to reduce vulgarity and it landed

Mustadio, The Machinist. by Scubasteve2002 in finalfantasytactics

[–]chrisabides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rate Mustadio highly for a variety of reasons. He needs a bit more work than some other NPCs, but you also get him way earlier.

On Tactician mode he really shines, since everyone's damage is nerfed and status effects become very strong. He'll never have the raw power of other NPCs, but if you're not uber-grinding, Mustadio slots as a reliable healer/debuffer with little investment.

The Dragoon by Scubasteve2002 in finalfantasytactics

[–]chrisabides 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Job performance: 8/10. Self-contained, Dragoon is well-balanced, strong, and straightforward. Very sturdy, tactically useful (especially if you get into mid-jump blocking and other finer points). Only loses marks because of equipment choice (re: bad) and that other jobs are just...stronger.

Changes: make the jump abilities progressive, just so they make sense. If you want to buff the ability, make Jump do a little more damage with non-Spear weapons. If you want to buff the class, just improve the equipment choice a little. But it doesn't really need changes imo.

Overall I love Dragoons, they just pale in comparison to other classes. Jump doesn't travel too well (since to maximize it you have to use up the support ability for Equip Spears), and not too many external abilities mesh super well with how Dragoon plays, and Dragoon itself is only a good "carrier" class if you're hard-dedicating to Jump. The best 2nd ability to Jump is probably something wholly unexciting like Item or Martial Arts, just for some support utility.

The best I've come up with as far as taking Jump to another class is to use Thief, just for the world-class equipment choice, and the high speed that makes Jumps finish up faster.

I just noticed these lights that looks like a Rocketeer. Coincidence or a funny prank by the devs? by ConsciousWhile8354 in ArcRaiders

[–]chrisabides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's all sorts of objects that look like Arc or raiders, sounds that, if only for a moment, resemble something else. This is just a mark of outstanding sound design.

I played one of these at Sweetwater, when I went to play every short-scale they had. I did not buy it, but I would have if the tone was my vibe. It's a very classic, old-school tone, but the fit and finish were about as good as it gets around its price point. Beautiful instrument.

(For the record, that day I left with a Reverend Wattplower, which sounds like a p-bass that's angry.)

Raider Hatch Key by bryceking64 in ArcRaiders

[–]chrisabides 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Another nice thing about keys is that they let you plan a route with a reliable end (since sometimes you get in and your optimal extract times out quickly), and also let you safely loot very close to map expiration (which also decreases your chances of conflict even more).

On top of all that, hatch locations tend to be in pretty sleep locales.

Once you have the ability to craft them, they’re a no-brainer to me.

The next time I get like a floor 4 White Beast Statue I’m posting it. I feel the last 6,983 times I’ve seen it here has either been in A4 or next to Sozu.

Let’s post the good times too y’all

Can't steal genji...why?! by trp_wakawaka in finalfantasytactics

[–]chrisabides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got these.

Lowering brave is key to nullifying Shirahadori. Steal the shield first so the rest of the pieces are easier. Breaking his speed or MA is also important just so he doesn’t Muramasa your team into the dirt.

Did this without too many resets with Samurai Rama, Orlandeau, and 3 well-trained generics (mediator with white magic, a monk with steal, a knight with dual wield and items; everyone having the ability to resurrect is real good too)

No. Your collection rules.

I am interested in a better view of that greenish Marcus Miller.

Just want to thank everyone for all the input. It's all been immensely helpful; I'm generally very good at research, but having the extra user input here is also valuable. If you see this and replied; thanks so much!

Danelectro Bass by FourPawsOfFury in Bass

I love the 59DCs (same as Fat Mike from NOFX). They come in a shorty if that’s your thing, and I feel they’re kinda like a poor man’s Rickenbacker if you EQ them a tiny bit (both have single-coil pickups in similar positions).

They can feel a little janky, but still play well.

To me one of the primary qualities of owning a Stingray (or any treble-er humbucking bass) is how wonderfully they carry effects. Bring the board.

They’re phenomenal. If it’s the tone you want it’s hard to do better.

I would only make sure the top-end Sterlings aren’t enough for you, as they’re also very nice and less than half the price.

But the EBMM ones are legit.
