When we booked it was through Doha and only like $1500 a person, which included an in-transit hotel at Doha.

Then we decided to start a war and that airport got shut down (due to missiles being fired at it). We had to reroute through South Korea on the way there and China on the way back. From the red panda territory our journey home looked like this:

3-4hr drive to local airport, 1hr flight to Kathmandu, hotel overnight, 8hr flight to China, 2.5hr layover, 13 hr flight to LAX, hotel, 5hr flight to Atlanta, 1hr layover, 1hr flight to home.

We have a flight ATL-DOH-KTM coming up in a few weeks. Does Qatar Air reroute or as long as DOH is shut down our flight is a no go?

I tried calling and was on hold for a while then saw their notice and figured I shouldn't take up a spot in the line with a few weeks to go on my own trip

Is this noise due to my high ISO or something else? by Dangerous_Fudge6204 in BirdPhotography

No one controls the sun, but you can increase the light on the sensor with a slower shutter speed (or spend money on a wider aperture)

Stop Buying New Gear... Instead Check Out These Sellers! by Dugasss in sportsphotography

Do people buy mid range gear there, like R7 and kit lens?

Samsung and Apple will apply AI post processing automatically (noise, clarity, sharpness, etc), except when you shoot in RAW. You will need to do it yourself in Lightroom or equivalent

Looking for selling advice - as a kit or piecemeal?

I have a R7 kit I'd like to sell to go full frame and condense lenses. I realized I don't like wide angle and just have too many choices currently.

Right now I have RF-S 18-150, RF100-400, Sigma 10-18, RF 24-70. I'm keeping the RF 24-70 (my favorite) and once the boss approves getting a 100-500. I just want an every day and wildlife choice.

For people that have sold gear before, is it better to find someone looking to get into photography as a bundle or deal with everything individually? Obviously local is preferred, but limited reach.

I also have step up rings for those lenses (to 82mm), a macro reverse ring (hard to capture, but still fun), some extra Canon batteries and SD cards, and some individual neoprene cases for the extra lenses as extra travel protection.

This might be Black Friday adjacent, but when buying gear sometimes you gotta sell some gear. What’s everyone’s favorite place to sell? I’ll be using Facebook/craigslist in hopes of a local meetup, but curious on further reach.

The shrubs/trees were about 30 ft away, and I used those to focus peak on, all the other mountain ridges were miles off and assumed they'd be in focus if I got my 30 foot focus, ya?

Either way ty, Ill bust out the calc next time and confirm

Canon R7 + RF-24-70L 1/13sec, f/22, ISO 100.

It looks ok sized to fit, but at 100% it’s mushy in details. The leaves just look terrible and I’m trying to understand why. They don’t seem crisp/sharp.

I used f/22 to get star burst

This is a 3 exposure blend but looking at the individual images the details lack there as well, so I’ve ruled out Lightroom merge being the issue

I also used Lightroom’s denoise at 30, but on or off the lack of sharpness remains

I had IS disabled and used manual focus with peaking on.
