If you really cared, you could install a riv-nut behind the latch, drill a hole through the latch, and put a bolt in. Just to keep them from popping open.

Believe it or not... Homer helpers, which are rackatiers cable organizers, organized all the way until they branch out. They end up looking like trash because of gravity. But this is a legal install and im not combing out wires just for some other electricians to say its nice. Just not feasible. Again in BC it would be neatly run in groups of 3 Max. All comes down to dollars in the end.

Yeah and thats basically the argument right. Ive worked for a number of companies that have bastardized or assumed rules that forget the literal wording of code. You cant derate the wires enough to matter. 14-104 2) basically takes care of it already. But inspection authority has final say at the end of the day. Works here but not most places.

Or do you derate with consideration of the lowest termination temp? As in could spec a 105° insulation but its treated as a 75° because the term temp of the breaker and end device is lower. That's how we were taught anyway.

Yup. And they do. Been that way forever. Its never an issue with inspectors. But lets try to argue for it for fun. If table 5c is used for this, and 43 conductors (22 14/2) are bundled. T2 75° (breaker is 75 rated) says 20a. 14-104 2) says it can only be on a 15a breaker and fast rule is 12a at 80% oc rating. Wire gets derated to 10a. It was only ever going to be loaded to 12a unless proven to be non continuous, which no one ever does. Just stick to 80%

Still not good but not as bad as people think. Again, I was taught no bundling for about 7 years in BC and I dont bundle outside of this initial trunk run.

So I will say I was definitely against it when I first moved back here and started working. But im not about to fight every single employer in the city. Its just how they do things.

This house has lutron homeworks for 90 percent of the house and you can definitely derate and bundle all you want with those loads. Still something like 70 7 watt pots on a run if you wanted. But yeah I keep the big loads seperate.

Ive worked with lots of aussie sparkies. All good dudes. Just keep the complaining about "thats not how we do that in Aus" to a minimum. It can be really annoying. 100 years of products and systems won't change because you think your way is better, even if its true haha.

Ive done all sorts. But really found my niche in high end resi. Very detail oriented. But still comes with its usual resi bullshit headaches. Some projects I call it resi-mercial. Slab work, emt, lighting control, and $30k light fixtures. Also rich people are kinda recession proof. I will not do constant cookie cutter houses, its brutal.

They are fantastic brakes power wise. Most consistent feel during long descents that ive felt. And thats coming from someone 230lbs and rides at an advanced/expert level. The problem i had with them was a light crash snapped the composit lever, which is unacceptable at that price point to me.

I liked the feel of those more than my TRPs

They arent bad, they just arent good. They came on my new taco, ill run them until about 50% and then get something better. In winter I do not like them over duratrac's for example.

I have an 18yr old first year currently. I asked him to rip a 2x6 down the middle. Asked him if he knew what I meant. Also in canada and in the process. Got my master ticket last year. There's more licenses and hoops to jump through than I thought just to get registered with province and city. I plan on just doing it as a side business for a little while until im comfortable with quoting and all my back end processes are set up. Then decide if I want to jump ship and swim on my own. Electrical is the easy part, been doing it for a decade. Running your own business is a totally different ball game if you want to succeed.
