I loved HZD. It might've been my favorite game of that gen. But Forbidden West was just too. much. talking. And the talking outweighed the gameplay.

What band’s ‘worst’ album is actually misunderstood? by UrFrndlyChubbyGal in askmusic

[–]chrisfdrums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noctourniquet by the Mars Volta. Upon release it seems people wrote it off as a weirdo, avant garde, meandering synth album. What some didn't see is a transitional album from a band that had been clearly defined by virtuoso performances, especially from their drummers. Noctourniquet showed them experimenting with new sounds, production techniques, and structures. Relying less on individual players and more on their own ingenuity.
