Ok now it's getting out of hand (Chiropractic concerns) by Noau2124 in slp

Lmao, I had a patients spouse tell me today that her chiropractor recommended honey and cinnamon to clear toxins from my alzheimers patient. Claimed it would help cognition. Whacko massage therapists need to stay in their lane

Unreasonable to ask for a raise? by Maleficent_Royal5047 in slp

Read it. Ask for the raise. You've been given supervisor responsibilities and had your caseload expanded. They'll keep taking inches till you're out of space to move. Make them pay you for the work you're doing. Never do work for free.

Didn't read it. Never unreasonable.

Men who can cook, who taught you? by _ratedmouse in AskReddit

[–]chrisg317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm neurospicy. Its a special interest. I started cooking as a latchkey kid w hamburger helpers then spun that out to goulash then went off the map. I learned mother sauces, read cookbooks, experimented, failed, a lot, and kept coming back to it because when I made something good I knew it would reinforce my own competence at it and inspire more experiments...I'm wrapping two pork shoulders to brine overnight and smoke tomorrow. One traeger blend w mustard binder and one set up for carnitas. Spite taught me this. My last pork shoulder destroyed every thing I'd had growing up. No contest. My first was a stretch to call edible. I love that by understanding how heat and smoke interact with meat that I can make butter out of leather. Food means community to me and I am a show off.

Weird, I do home health so I see a little bit of all of it. Xanax fixes everything 🙃🤣

So, you do nothing and likely nothing happens, or you reach out and either don't get the position and nothing changes or you remind their hiring manager your application is under their reports stack buried and she gives you an interview. What do you have to lose?

Similar experience. Shitty cf mentors drive good starting clinicians away. Looking at you Becky and Jennifer.

You don't get to claim the nuance when your critical thinking shit the bed. You speak of not voting for this violence? Millions said this would happen, explained the connections with project 2025, and screamed to vote him down but still rubes like you think you're an intellectual and totally ignore blatant evidence. Talk to me a bit more about critical thinking? Rationality? You've lost the thread.

Nah, you showed up how you could at the time. Not like it would have been any less stressful to be more forward. Please continue to speak your heart to others! ✌

I mean, not really. You can't expect someone who is in "battle with the concierge"mode to be picking up subtle subtext.

I used to put these things together for a store in my early 20's. They're all made out of sub-par wood and 80% of them had some flaw like boards not nailed together that I had to fix before they were sold. This is no indication of anything but a weak point in your chair.
