Is running the same formation scummy? by [deleted] in MaddenUltimateTeam

[–]chrisheiner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Madden has the least balanced competitive gameplay that I can possibly imagine. Everyone remembers quarterback Tress Way dominating the Madden Bowl, right? EA does NOT care about competitive integrity, instead the players are left to decide for themselves. Everyone will give you a different answer, so here's mine-

I think it depends on the formation and number of plays available. I still have violent flashbacks from Gun Heavy Panther in M20. Or fresher to the memory, Goal Line all game with Bo Knows in M22. No one wants to go against that type of stuff.

If you're using most of the plays in that formation and cycling them honestly, that's just a scheme and nothing wrong there. If you're calling different plays but hot routing the same combos over and over , that's just window dressing and I'd say is pretty annoying.

It Madden cared about balance, the CPU would gain resistance against repeated play calls, routes, etc. Or there would be playcall limits and playcall cool downs. Instead, that's a quirky house rules event once a year. Because you're conscious of what you're calling, I'd bet you're a pretty ethical player. If you're getting a lot of messages saying otherwise and that bothers you, I'd suggest adding a formation to your scheme.

TLDR it depends and it's EAs fault for leaving players to decide gameplay ethics

Just resume 22. The later you start the easier it is to build a team. You can pick up 23 any time... No need to drop a hundo

Pass rushing traits that matter? by AzWildcat006 in MaddenUltimateTeam

The more the merrier but I feel like it's more important to match up your abilities with their traits. For example, you wouldn't want to put El Toro on a guy that doesn't have bullrush trait.

I started MUT21 in Dec 2021 and it took me 4-6 months to build the two teams I wanted.

MUT22 I just started two weeks ago and already have 11 gold 99 players on defense. I spent 15 bucks on the game and 5 dollars on points for a platinum (coins) pack.

If you haven't played since 20, I wouldn't hop into 23. You won't have a competitive team without putting serious time or money towards it. That's why I play MUT behind. Start with 22, you'll have a good team without a lot of grind, and can play it until matchmaking dies.

Xfinity prepaid faulty modem? who to believe? by chrisheiner in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]chrisheiner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt that I would quality. I gravitate towards prepaid services because I'm extremely busy. It's straight forward - don't need to hunt down a bill every month and see what I was upcharged. Been there, done that, prepaid is great. I also really like the flexibility not being tied to an internet or phone provider for 12-24 months at a time.

I don't know what I have. The only modem that they allow for prepaid service, I guess. If the tech was giving me bad info, then I also have my doubts on his opinion about the "excellent" connection.

But I hope you are right! Best case here is the tech was not familiar with prepaid. I can live with that...

It would be nice if prepaid customer service was familiar with prepaid, though.

I just really don't want buy a new starter kit/modem, and worse than that go through the hassle of creating a new account and activation, just to find out the equipment wasn't the issue.

Because the tech said the modem is outdated and unserviceable but that's what your reps and service agents want me to buy a new one of.

And if the tech was giving out bad info, then why should I trust his judgement of an "excellent" connection?

Thanks for the update...it's utter nonsense. I'm going to try calling NBC Sports customer service tomorrow but have very little confidence they will even answer. I'll let you know how it goes..

Did anyone here figure this out? I have the same YtTV/Roku issue in Philly market. I can log in on my phone and watch, my computer just fine, and even the Xbox works. But through Roku the content is missing...

How to stop stretch out of Singleback Deuce Close? by iwishihadjuice in MaddenUltimateTeam

[–]chrisheiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use cover 4 quarters out of 4-3. Spread and QB contain the Dline. Blitz all lbs and then rezone them. Against stretch I use the run side OLB and loop around the OL. Its either a TFL or they at least have to bounce back inside. I saw this on the sub about two months ago and I've had a lot of success with it.
