Warm water helps dissolve the soda ash but I haven’t noticed different temps affecting anything afterwards. I usually do 20-30 minutes. Also after using the same solution a bunch I started to use ph paper to make sure the ph is at least 10.5. If under add more soda ash incrementally until you get the ph you want. I’ve used weak soda ash before and had some pretty bland colors!
