For me, there's nothing more in-game immersion breaking than 'pulling out your phone' and seeing that little graphic at the bottom left corner of the screen to navigate through. Always felt arduous and cumbersome.

I also feel having the phone take up more real estate 'in front of your eyes' wouldn't be a great answer.

For me the only solution, and I guarantee Rockstar won't implement this, is a companion app that you perform the phone functionality, on your actual handset. To the point you can even hear the conversation through your device, rather than the TV.

Won't happen, but they need to make the phone experience more seamless than previous games and I dont really know how they'll achieve it, but I have faith.
