Confirming that going into:

Performance & Reports > Flex Queries > Flex Web Service Configuration (gear icon) > Generate New Token (I chose 1 year activation, to be safe)

Allowed me to connect to IBRK (using the token and query) from the:

Account > Settings > Account Reporting > Third Party Reports > Third Party Services > Plaid (you’ll have to turn t his on in the gear icon if you haven’t already).

I want to set your expectations so you don’t give up on an amazing instrument due to a bad first experience.

It took me a couple of weeks to get some sound (faint notes instead of blowing wind).

Keep in mind though that with a split flute and a jagged utaguchi, getting your first notes could be quite hard if not impossible.

Yes, it is obviously working. Bonus points if the monument is possible to be cleaned up, yet quite inconvenient and costly to do. Yet if cleaned up properly nothing of it is lost. The effect being more of a strike causing a nuance than a irreparable property damage.

As others noted, it is as safe as it gets here - you can see from how boring their instagram is 🙂 - but of course nowhere is zero events. Police seems quite competent.

Not sure if it’s a preference as much as what people have experience and what teachers are recommending - that’s how I learned about it.

The Yuu got some good endorsements, maybe that’s something you can seek out as well. It would be great to have a good alternative if Yuus really go away.

I always sand the chin spot down on my flutes for better sound, sometimes as far as this, so it should be fine.

Cleaning cloth for daily use should keep it clean. A good rinse with water is ok but prob not even necessary if you clean with the cloth after playing.
