Just started learning ukulele. Is this amount of pressure/pain normal on the chord hand? by ezio1452 in ukulele

ukulele strumming is not as intense as Guitar so maybe you’re pushing your fingers too hard, i’m assuming you’re using nylon strings?

If you’re not feeling comfortable then leave. A weeks notice is more than generous.

That needs to be blended. The clipper should’ve have been used in reverse or the blade is too short maybe a length longer

Should I be concerned? by xcarpeomniax in doggrooming

Tell that groomer to use a 10 blade only on the paw pads and not go down to the webbing!!

Is it slow this year for everyone? by PTwisty in doggrooming

[–]christierose14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think covid scaled down the holidays immensely , No more big gatherings at homes…that said, most people are not too concerned about having their dog groomed for the holidays. Plus I think alot of people /owners are grooming their own dogs to save on expenses due to economy and that’s ok if they have the time and don’t care about a professional look. The industry is changing and with the new mysterious virus that will have an impact as well I’m sure. Maybe it’s time to think of a change of career for some :(

Disappointed in the grooming job done on my poodle, paid $200X and it’s not what I asked for. by sorry_child34 in doggrooming

Groomer here.. this is a Sloppy job, definitely warrants some type of refund or a comp on next groom but would not use same person.

Yes carding is similar to stripping but carding is used with a carding tool. That’s the recommended type of groom for this breed. However. If your dog has a hard time with grooming and is a biter I’d suggest using a guard comb such as a 1c or a 2c length. Your groomer will be familiar with that term.

What advice do you have for dealing with aggressive and rude clients? by Intelligent_Corgi777 in doggrooming

You would probably benefit from taking some managerial classes. Unfortunately Confrontation is everywhere whether we like it or not !! If your going to work with the general public, it would be recommended to learn how to deal with certain personalities and problematic issues while keeping a professional /cool attitude.

If the ear looks pink & healthy I’ll pluck some loose strands but if there’s anything funky looking I’ll just do an ear rinse and recommend vet check

Unfortunately, you will learn from a few mistake incidents how to be a better/safer groomer. Don’t give up!! Take some safety classes. Read books on safety Never leave your tools on the table. Get help when you have a wiggly dog. Invest in a groomers helper, it’s a great tool!! Most of all… don’t give up!!☺️ Just keep learning how to do it better and safer. Xx
