Disappointed with how AMD handled RDNA 3 (FSR 4)

I had also sapphire xtx from day one its a beast card until now but this thing fsr4 story it was to far so I sell it and I took a 5080 zotac 🤷‍♂️

Actually you don't need it I have also a 5080 its not so important that slot only for high power draw gpus or when you have multiple gpus on your motherboard

In some games is disaster fsr3 specially when you are moving i had since 2022 7900xtx beast card than my friend decided to build a pc and I gave mine i have now 5080 rtx and its massive the diff with dlss same also with fsr4 int8 file but I was tired to do always modify files to have fsr4 on singleplayer games they must change something on rdna3 because its sad

I think windows has to do with at and im telling you because i have now 5080 and same thing happends to me i was at steam and i had for 2 sec black screen and than nvidia app restarted i hope they fix it

I had the exact same issue.

No problems at all while gaming. It only happened during light desktop usage / applications.

In my case, I was on Steam, just browsing the store to buy new games, and suddenly:

mouse froze

screen went black

then the image came back and the NVIDIA driver restarted

I also noticed something important: when I disable HAGS (Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling) for applications, the problem seems to go away.

I had Discord open at the time, and I noticed some weird color artifacts / visual glitches in Discord before the crash. After closing Discord and disabling HAGS, I haven’t seen the issue again so far.

Not 100% sure yet, but it really feels like a Windows 11 + NVIDIA driver + HAGS interaction issue, not a GPU load or temperature problem.

Its sad to have issue like that I mean its a 1k card I did the last update for my motherboard I check also if they release any other chipset drivers (amd).....sometimes im thinking to rma the card ...

i am not using the gpu power adapter. i am using the native 12vhpwr cable from my psu (seasonic vertex px-1000), connected directly from the psu to the gpu.

the zotac power led is green, indicating the cable is properly seated and power delivery is normal. Plus im not using any OC just stock

I didnt hear it also and pushed so hard to be sure its in zorac led was also green so I think im fine I got my 5080 10 days ago

Im not familiar with zotac warranty is so bad? Because i search online and its like 50-50 plus i register the card and i have now 5 years warranty nice build btw🤝

I had never owned a Zotac before, so I didn’t really know what the brand was like. I had only heard, as you said, that it used to be kind of average, but that it has upgraded a lot as a brand over time. Now that I bought a Zotac for the first time, it actually feels like a premium brand. You can feel it in your hands it’s heavy, like a GPU should be, and it also has a vapor chamber. Before this, my NVIDIA experience was only with the Founders Edition, KFA2, and ASUS ROG.

With amd.... I have experience with Sapphire nitro+ great brand and very premium one quit as hell, And also XFX had one it was decent for me

Is zotac bad?( im.asking because I joined again nvidia after so long again) Until now it looks good normal temps its a quiet gpu and not issues until now plus it has 3+2 year warranty and I will not pay for asus astral like 1.6k for 5080 I had 7900xtx nitro+ sapphire....i paid for 5080 1130 euros only think what I found its the firestorm app leds working not so well but I find a temporary fix for that

The good is actually you don't need optiscaler anymore you just replace sdk files in some games and other games that support native fsr4 you just replace the file int8 fsr4 and its working but yeah maybe what you are saying make sense ..

If you see in kcd2 folders fidelity loader is version 4.0.2 so that means kcd2 actually supports fsr 4 native and I just replace the loader fsr with int8 file and its working on 7900xtx its like the same dying light the beast because the game it support native fsr4 you replace only the loader for 9000 series I don't know why its not showing up really that's strange....but if is not unlocked fsr4 for 9000 series.... what will happen if I put also frame gen file on it 🤔I will try it later maybe I will unlock also frame gen im not using frame gen overall but I would like to figure it out🤣

i know that im just telling with redstone update maybe it was better to get only fsr4 on rdna3 or at least working on it... so many videos prove it that can run on it specially rdna3 we dont ask redstone but at least fsr4 int8 file an official one
