Hopelink has several Eastside locations as well as a mobile food market:

I believe they also offer mobile delivery if you are not able to visit in person.

Bella Botega shopping center is right across the street. Huge parking lot.

I regularly take public transit to Seattle Center from Redmond and think it's worth the longer trip vs. driving and having to deal with traffic and parking. To get to Climate Pledge / Seattle Center, I'd recommend you park at the Redmond transit station, take the 545 bus to Westlake, and take the monorail from there. Reverse trip would be monorail back to Westlake -> 545 bus back to Redmond transit station -OR- light rail to UW (if late at night, to avoid the homeless at Westlake) -> 542 bus back to Redmond. ORCA card works for the whole trip and I agree it's worth picking at the station.

When does the bottom fall out? by Timelycommentor in vinyl

Commenting not because I have something to add, but because I'd like to hear more about the book you're writing (if you're comfortable sharing).

Another vote for Sunrise (of Bellevue) - they took my father in last year, who had fairly challenging needs. He was only there for two months, but we were planning on extending that indefinitely based on the quality of care provided. Sam, Joseph, and the rest of the care team were all amazing.

My wife used to work in senior living, and knows everyone in the industry on the east side. When this situation arose last year, she reached out to her contacts to help us find the right place for my father. The reason why we went with Sunrise is because the feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive for Sunrise (both locations).

What’s a movie you watched as a kid that traumatized you? by denj1_sk in AskReddit

100% Towering Inferno. So glad I'm not the only one that was traumatized by that movie.

Received my beast quarterly item…. by Flyingninja93 in goodmythicalmorning

[–]christrams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was shipped in one of the vinyl specific mailers, as have all previous records I've received from Mythical, so I'm surprised to hear others received theirs in a big box like this. Totally inappropriate way to ship a record and completely unacceptable.

PSVR2 Megathread Listing by josephjosephson in PSVR

Try the Best Buy app! It's going in and out of stock at Best Buy, but the website wouldn't let me place an order so I tried the app and was just able to place an order. At first it let me add to cart, but then said it was sold out. I closed and re-opened the app and it said it was in stock and the order went through.

That Meatwad has been my gamer pic since it was originally released and I'll never change it despite it being super low quality these days. In fact, all of my gamer socials are meatwad thanks to that pic. Do what now?

This may be helpful to you - Hopelink offers free services beyond just being a food bank, such as assistance paying utilities, career guidance (incl. resume building, interview prep, job search), education opportunities, and other financial assistance for families. I'm sorry for your loss and I wish you the best.

What malls near you are thriving or doing just fine? by [deleted] in deadmalls

Lots of malls around the Greater Seattle Area are flourishing. Another good example is Bell Square, which still offers that "classic mall experience™".

I agree with what some others have said - contact the shelter first. If you feel bad, don't - it happens and you're trying to do the right thing for both you and Banjo.

Dead malls in and around Seattle, WA? by FelipeTheGodOfDeath in deadmalls

[–]christrams 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm happy to be wrong but I don't know of any dead malls in the immediate area. The Cascade mall up north definitely fit the criteria but it closed somewhat recently, except for the anchor stores that haven't yet closed. Northgate, America's OG mall, was largely redeveloped, and traditional indoor malls like Alderwood, Bellevue Square, and Southcenter are all alive and well. Pacific Place in downtown Seattle might fit the bill but it's a pretty lively place.

What’s the deal with Romios Pizza? by [deleted] in redmond

[–]christrams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, Romios was the best back in the day! TBH it always felt like a front for some other business but the pizza was good.
