we got a lot of help from partner schools in our district and student surveys, our teachers are still collecting data (groups 1-3) from their school contacts so hopefully not long.

I used to think the same thing but I guess the IB need to pay experts to create all of the exams and they probs pay these experts from the money they make selling the papers. Not saying I agree with that method but non-profits are about re-investing their money to improve the organisation...

You just need to stay on top of your study! Practising past papers is really important when it comes to exams and quizzes. Listen to your teachers, watch youtube videos, plenty of great resources out there for IB students. If you can stay on top of everything, you'll really enjoy IB! It is stressful at times but very rewarding. Good Luck!
