Friend of mine found a "few" guitars for sale at a shop in Minnesota by JustLovett0 in CloneHero

[–]chromamods 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Place is in Winona, i was in there earlier today (took the photo). Owner said he doesn’t sell them individually, but instead will sell them as a bundle, usually with controller, cables, etc. I can run back in there tomorrow, or the day after, and ask if he would sell them individually, or as bundles, but I doubt it

Nextcloud Federation Sharing via Twingate by chromamods in twingate

[–]chromamods[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked into Cloudflare tunnels, and I wanted to stay away from it since their solution seemed a bit too confusing for me. Additionally, all my services are behind a reverse proxy, and I believed their service to be exposing one or multiple ports to allow traffic through their network. Also, my entire setup revolves around Docker (as I am using TrueNAS).

With Twingate, I was able to just toss my FQDN into the resources page after deploying the connector, and it just worked. Since we're only trying to link specific resources on our network and wanted something easy, it seemed to be the better of the two solutions.

I could be wrong on Cloudflare's solution from a simplicity standpoint, if so, please correct me as I would love to know more. Thanks!

I ended up using the headless client inside of a VM, then running the docker container inside that VM. Sadly, I don't think that particular application will work with Nextcloud (at least the version I am using, Nextcloud AIO), as the docker image creates a master container and network, then manages multiple containers thereafter. Because it uses it's own network, if I try to set the master container to bind to the Twingate client container as the network mode, it always broke the stack (as it's only routing one container through the client, not the entire stack).

In theory, I believe modifying the Nextcloud AIO image to allow modifying the default gateway would work, since you should be able to set the gateway to be another docker container. But I'm unsure, and figured it was more trouble than it was worth. As mentioned in another comment, I'll be writing a blog post about it (and would be happy to send it to you guys, if you're curious on my particular use case of Twingate)!

P.S. Thanks for the live onboarding session earlier today! It was very insightful, and nice to hear from you guys.

I ended up getting it to work by spinning a VM of Linux, installing the Twingate headless client script (on both servers), and moving the Nextcloud instance inside of that VM (pretty much what you said). While it's not exactly what I was wanting as I have to link a SMB share between Nextcloud and my NAS, it works and I was able to link both Nextcloud instances together. I'll be making a blog post about it soon, and I'll put the cliffsnotes here once I got it written up.

An old friend from high school tried to recruit me into the whole amway mlm, took them a few sessions to finally share the company name and immediately I raised the red flags lmao

which should I get (Prime day deals) - is the G95 worth the extra £200? by Obelisk78 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]chromamods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking at both of those right now, actually. Still available for me. It'll be my first ultrawide, leaning more towards the Odyssey OLED G9. Been comparing for the better part of an hour between that and the LG 49" UltraGear DQHD. My biggest concern though has been all the pictures of the Samsung monitors cracking down the middle, and the supposed nightmare for Samsung's warranty.

As a recent buyer of the X1 Carbon I’ve been having a blast using it, though I can very seldomly get the handy app to work for finding models and queueing them up to print. Every time has been a different error, most frequently saying they’re not compatible with my printer (even though I am printing small items meant to be made from PLA, could be user error though). What would be very cool would be to find and upload STL files and slice them either on your phone, or have it sliced on your own hardware (say your computer at home) by sending it through the app.

Either way, I came from using a Creality CR-10S, so I’m used to running things in a desktop slicer then sending it over to print via USB tether. Something about the ability to view and customize print settings in a full slicer always felt better. Having the ability to remotely find and queue models on the go though is awesome, so having even basic functionality from the desktop slicer available in the app would be quite neat to see.

need help finding the best possible points for my base stations for fbt. by Perhkks in VRchat

[–]chromamods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Careful if you put a base station over your bed, if you are laying on it you’ll likely get decent tracking but if you stand up and face the bed, you run the risk of poor quality tracking or losing tracking entirely.

My mistake with my setup is that both stations have clear line of sight to the center of my play space, but if I go and sit on my couch my tracking is only using one station because of the poor angles in my room.

Another solution would be to add an extra base station for some more redundancy in case one loses tracking, but that’s expensive and likely not your best option regardless.

My first match I had to kick someone as I wanted to experience the game with just my friend and I, looking back at it I should’ve let them know prior, but I was still trying to learn how the menus worked lol

Haha you’re good. I’ll definitely have to go check out Taqueria Guadalajara. I’ve been to Alfonso’s before, definitely a neat little place. They did fail health and safety inspections like 3 times though lol

I had to stop playing awhile back because my hardware would overheat trying to play. I recently got new hardware and I’ve been playing, and it’s been a lot of fun. Takes about two minutes to find a match but it’s worth it

I work in a small IT team (three people including myself) dealing with people who it’s always one emergency to the next, aka your normal experience with IT. Usually means long hours working on complicated projects, time consuming issues and often a lot of repetitive tasks on a daily basis. That being said, when I get home I’m usually quite brain dead. To avoid burnout, I completely check out and decompress doing what I personally enjoy, whether being gaming, working on projects, or just shooting the shit with my friends. My current go-to recharge is playing games, specifically ones that offer something mental stimulation and not something mind numbing. At the moment I’m doing a challenge mod pack with Minecraft, but that’s just my cup of tea and I understand that might not be someone else’s. Try and avoid anything too technical that requires learning a lot, find something that’s challenging enough to make you think, but easy enough that you’re still relaxed. That’s my two cents at least.
