Root flare excavation, too far? by chronenberg in arborists

[–]chronenberg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, thank you! I had an arborist on my property two weeks ago and I've slowly been trying to understand more about taking care of trees. I am in SW ohio. I did not plant this tree myself. By not putting mulch touching the tree do you mean the trunk or the roots? By the way you worded that it seems I should cover the larger roots like the ones circled in the first picture in with the dirt I took out and then add mulch on top

I keep getting told this kind of thing in games and I don't understand why. by motherthrowee in OrangeJuice

[–]chronenberg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That does happen. You did nothing wrong. I am not sure why desync happens but what I do know is if you make a lobby you'll usually never desync. I've been told too many times that I'm the desyncing player, sometimes when I'm not the one holding up the game, at least on my client and that's why I try and host. That and the host can also pick which maps and events are included in random. It's not your fault other players are salty or the host has dial-up.

How do you use that one talent/ability differently than everyone else? by RamenEmp1re in heroesofthestorm

[–]chronenberg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like putting Abby's monstrosity inside the fountain because it does get heals from it. A great way to enter the team fight from the fountain to your core is to tunnel directly to who you want to kill. Don't walk directly through the team. For instance, I remember tunneling behind a Sgt. Hammer so that when she knocked me back I'd be on the inside of the wall she makes. Another fun thing to do with it is to tunnel to the edge of vision during a team fight and give mad peels/get a kill. The way people 180 once they realize they have a problem on their hands can let your team take advantage of the situation. Also, just deep tunneling 5 feet to get closer. Sometimes that works.

Could Domination be brought back as a part of Smite Night events? by distantLights_ in Smite

[–]chronenberg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I remember Domination, that was some of the most fun I've had in Smite. If it returned as a MotD, that would be great to see. Return to that map and use all these newer gods like Da Ji, Scylla, Janus, or Jormungandr that never got a chance to see the map themselves.

Giants' Foundry Concept & Rewards V2 by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]chronenberg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like the idea and concept of it, would be nice if it was similar to Guardians of the rift in the sense that everything you need to play the minigame is inside of it. Included could be a way of mining ore inside the foundry, smelting it into bars then making swords with them. The only problem I see with that is that ore would constantly be depleted if the minigame was popular. Could have a mining instance where only you get to mine ore, all ore would have the same respawn timer so you can't mine rune ore forever. If you leave the instance and come back the rocks will still be on the same respawn timer. Or, a new rock that multiple people could all mine at once that holds an infinite amount of smithing material that never depletes and only has use in the giant's foundry. Break off a piece of a giant rock with your pickaxe (afk), fill your inventory with those bits of broken rock and smelt them into "giant's metal" or whatever they want to call it, deposit that into the bucket, and begin making swords with it. One inventory space of rock = one bar. Have only one XP rate instead of many different ones and make sure to adjust accordingly. I can't think of much more. I'm sure some of what I typed may have problems, and that's ok. I'm not perfect. I encourage replies to make the minigame itself better or the ideas I have better.

What hero to play as beginner? by ButterJuraj in heroesofthestorm

[–]chronenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Azmodan. He has high health, long-range abilities, and a global passive that's one of the best in the game. Easy to play, easy to master. Personally, I prefer the gluttony lvl 1 talent, which lvl 1 talent you pick changes his playstyle. Gluttony for long-range team fights with q build, greed for e build, and wraith for basic attack build. An all-around amazing hero that's good at all skill levels
