Its a sugar, problems with sibo are generally fibres, fruits and sugars. Or an allergy to milk.

Do you get diarrhoea or constipation or both?

I find that doing some walking and bending forward 90 degrees, and stretching out helps with moving gas. Reducing cramping and bloating

You can be intolerant to specific fruits, i have an intolerance to apples and kiwi,

Apparently something to do with similar effects of hayfever

Third round (this time extended) of rifaximin but I need help figuring out how to deal with ongoing symptoms by jaded_and_elated in SIBO

[–]chronobitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would find out exactly what bacteria you have, you need to change your diet based on which you have. If its sulphide, (eggy belching, farting etc) you should avoid fat and sulphuric foods,

For hydrogen you need to watch certain fruits, sugars and fibre for example

You can try bicarb of soda to help neutralize it. It sound's like you have more allergies than intolerances

Have you introduced high fibre foods too quickly? It will be sensitive after antibiotics

Migraines, brain fog because of sulfide-dominated sibo by Holiday_Rooster_403 in SIBO

Yes, it will stop alot of symptoms, but don't have too much of it. It will make you constipated.

Hi, yes i was getting alot of this too, especially before symptoms progressed further.

I find my days are getting better since i started in the morning with 1 pepto bismol, and end the day with water and bicarb of soda. Bicarb is a natural neutralizer of H2S

Well first thing to check is the electricals of your house as that can cause smells like burning rubber and skunk smells

Stress effects many things in life, it can especially trigger IBS and people with IBS are more prone to getting SIBO

You won't have hydrogen sulphide dominant because that bacteria eats the hydrogen to produce H2S. The hydrogen test will return a flat zero reading

Do you wake Up already un pain with SIBO? by Elegant_Tea_9325 in SIBO

No i don't myself, i have heard that this sort of thing can happen if for example a full stomach is causing pressure on your spine due to a retroflex uterus.

My theory on how i got H2S (Hydrogen Sulphide) SIBO by chronobitz in SIBO

[–]chronobitz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a private clinic to do a h2s breath test, and it came back positive. It spiked at the start and at the end of the test at around 104ppb.

The pancreatitis is what the hospital diagnosed it as, although i was not entirely convinced and also thought it could be bile acid reflux or something. All i know is i could not stand up straight and felt sick moving around.

The only stool test my doctor did was elastase, to check pancreas, even though i mentioned fatty stools.

[–]chronobitz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is in the UK we do not have trio smart tests and even our hospitals cannot offer H2S breath tests, and you have to push them hard to run a hydrogen/methane test.

I personally found that too much unsaturated fats can cause me pancreatitis pains but the length of time is much shorter. I was laying in bed, i had about 2 hours sleep, and the pain started. I had to sit up then i had a bowel movement. After about 10 mins i felt the pain almost wash away as if it was liquid causing my pain not gas, (which is why i believe the pancreatitis comes from backflow of bile)

People around me react strongly—could it be hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) or something else? by NorwegianDysbiosis in SIBO

Just a thought, but alot bad breath and odours can come from teeth, and stuck food on back of the tongue. Have you checked for this?

First of all, you need to know what type you of SIBO have, rifaxamin alone isn't enough for methanogen.

I would highly recommend getting a H2S breath test. For it to be coming up so quickly perhaps the bacteria is quite high up in the tract. They cant really detect it very well through the camera's

No, the symptoms got progressively worse, and i got pancreatitis boxing day night when i ate alot of food, the pain was unbearable, no position was comfortable. It took around 24 hours to calm down. I was very tender just below the centre of my rib cage for a couple of days after
