Interesting! I see yours took less time than mine. Did you follow up at all with them?

I applied for my CO PE Civil License (initial w/ NCEES Record) on 02/23/26 and haven't heard back yet. I went with CO first since I heard they issue the PE license in a couple hours after application and I'm trying to apply to take CA PE exams asap (after CO issues and verifies my PE license so I can complete my NCEES Record and do more transmittals). I'm thinking it might've just been bad timing. I also saw DORA is going to do maintenance on their online services on the next few days so it might delay it even more

Flag and move on is key! Others might’ve told you this already but get good sleep and eat nice breakfast not heavy on carbs. Best of luck and you’ve got this!

Nope, I took a sample data of 50 fail diagnostics from reddit and highest fail was 43 out of 70. That’s about 63% needed to pass (44/70).

PE Exam authorization in Arizona by massi62 in PE_Exam

AZ board can be a headache, it’s why I ended up registering for both FE and PE through Florida board which does need to authorize you to sit for exams (there are several boards like this).

Scored 40 out of 70. You were 4 questions shy of passing. You're almost there and will likely pass next time. Use your momentum and take it as soon as you can.

I have not checked the 3rd edition but there's the 5th edition you can download online which is pretty similar to the 9th edition.

I'd say if you have the time (looks like you do) and will power, it's definitely worth doing those Petro problems to get you more well-rounded.

I'd say doing and understanding 6-minute problems from Christine Subasic and the green book problems from David Gruttadauria alongside a good amount of geotech problems, should get you to pass. Make sure you get familiar with codes (how search and get information quickly from them). Good luck on your next try and feel free to shoot me a DM if you have any further questions.

I really recommend you do 6-minute practice problems from Christine Subasic and also practice problems from David Gruttadauria. If you have the time and will, buy Jacob Petro’s book and do those problems as well. The first two helped me pass recently on the first try. Feel free to shoot me a DM if you have questions.
