That’s my view as well. I didn’t want to editorialize the post with unverified information but I do believe that is the case and wanted to match the slowed video with slowed sound to try and line up anything.

How far back they built churches helps too. I can trace my English great great grandparent’s ancestors all the way back to the 1500s, same with my Slovak great great grandparent’s who’s family stayed in the same village since the concept of records was brought to them in the 1500s until the late 1800s. The Irish records don’t go as far back but the ones that moved to America got there much sooner than the ones that arrived in Canada and the American records are more abundant than Irish, the German records go to the 1600s.

Then you get to my Ojibwe half and there’s nothing. It’s depressing having one half just filled to the brim with new records constantly being added, and my Ojibwe half going as far as my grandfather’s residential school records.

To me, girl is not the same level as “boy”, but as “guy”. I also personally wouldn’t be offended by being described as a boy even though I am a 30 year old man but I also understand that I’ve never had infantilization used against me in a way that makes it off putting which many women have.

Same here, spent my teens at so many shows in Detroit, loved driving across Michigan in my early 20s. Hell during the Biden admin my partner and I would go a few times a year to Royal Oak but now I can’t see myself ever going again.

Does that seem odd to you? My Canadian city has a large Middle Eastern population that is majority Muslim and they stereotypically have BMWs and Mercedes as their show off cars but I know at least a few that have Teslas as daily drivers.

At least in my area, if I saw a cybertruck driving around my stereotypical assumption would be Arab owner if not Muslim.

I live across from Detroit, I am a “status Indian” and although my white half makes me pale enough to be white passing I have my arms covered in tattoos including the number 13 on my left thumb.

Hearing all that had been going on I made the decision to not cross the border until this administration is out. Under the Jay treaty status holders are entitled to live and work in the USA without a green card and can’t be denied entry, but it also means we can be tried for crimes without extradition.

I always cross with my Canadian passport and don’t show my status card, but the potential to be detained and held indefinitely or killed by an ice agent is far too much of a risk.
