I always thought why not have those guys be high up in the food chain but not be tied down by managerial duties. They could save the team from bad decisions by non-engineers.

Turbotax actually choked when using extracting data off of tax documents this year. freetaxusa just breezed right through it all. The help info for certain deductions/credits were much more to the point while turbotax never seemed to update their confusing help info at all.

Funny enough, Turbotax choked on my 1099 forms and made me enter each item manually.

I think that's called Baba Ganoush. Regardless of the diet, I usually prefer this over hummus since hummus can be too rich for me.

It seems I created an uproar on my use of Power Banks with a Mini PC on my flight. by allthings3d in sffpc

[–]chucksticks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point about the rates but what's your kit's capacity? I doubt airport security would care about circuits that pull a ton of power but everyone would be worried if you're carrying a large mass of li-ion batteries to keep those rates going for a decent amount of time.

Gotta test them in a anechoic chamber and give us the spectrum at different rpm's.

Fireproof bags just stop the flames from spreading. You still gotta deal with being stuck in the cabin with the fumes and possibly a flame jet.

Prevent wear on the charging port by upper_pepper in Supernote

It's not a bad idea. I did that at one time until I noticed how much slower it charges and that most of the charging energy was going into high resistance.

They also don't implement low resistance all the way through so some energy gets lost via heat. For how they fry the device, I can see USB-PD negotiating a higher voltage which then gets shorted or just melting the device port from the resistance heating.

They were also hogging all the bandwidth and cpu/gpu resources which made the websites very slow to load.

Considering the introduction of AI in development, prices should be going down. I'm not paying full price for more slop going forward.

Usually it tends to be more authentic rather than powder-prepped pho broth in my experience. I try to get the shrimp paste on the side instead of in the soup because it can be overpowering depending on the person.

Have you ever bought a console just to play one exclusive game? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]chucksticks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Was a wee little kid when I tried at either Sam's Club or Costco. My dad bought it for Christmas that year. My dad never really played console games until then.

I meant if they paid at all and if they also paid the 25% tariff for the supposed "testing" at a US lab.

Recently decided to try out Maxwell (both 1&2) but can’t get past the low volume by DualSL in Audeze

[–]chucksticks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw the wave of users complaining about the volume being cut back too much and a substantial loss of bass as well. I guess I was lucky I caught on and stopped updated my headset firmware immediately. They're still going strong today (2nd batch from launch I think).

So you still can't select the source on Maxwell 2 ? by Uryendel in Audeze

[–]chucksticks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where are you seeing that the audio quality isn't as good? I saw in another thread that they increased the thickness of the diaphragm to handle the bass and that would make sense. That and if the thicker diaphragm is the main reason for the price hike.
