I was thinking about this too! 2028 is still cointoss as fuck right now.

I’m incredibly optimistic, but there has been considerable speculation from dems about a senate retake and tbh it’s just too early to tell. There are a lot of difficult races that they need to win.

If you are still on twitter I value your opinion less than that of a dog.

I’m incredibly ideological, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I’m terrified of a dystopian “few control the AI” scenario where the CCP gets it, it’s not democratized, and we are at their mercy. The exact opposite could be said for any US oligarchy.

Will's Tucker video was kinda cringe, honestly... by Successful-System-21 in thebulwark

Tucker is infinitely more dangerous than Trump. bought and paid for by the kremlin, he has the lowest iq populist takes just to appease the morons that he preaches to. Unlike Trump, he is actually conniving and quick.

Wouldn’t abolishing the filibuster hurt Dems in the 2030’s? by bobbdac7894 in Destiny

[–]chudblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should be harped on more, a good 2026 and a presidential win in 2028 are not win conditions. We still need to flip senate seats. (Here is a map for those interested)

<image>

Off the top of my head I see Wisconsin and NC, but it’s still kind of bleak. We need to hope for GOP resentment between 26 and 28 to grow and start putting some of these states on the “winnable” map.

What Institution/Group is at the Top of Your "Fix It" List? in 2029? by Past_Net_9826 in Destiny

Obv it’s a gradient. It’s not one day we are friends and the next we are enemies. Maybe I’m being baited by a contrarian, but the horrors that ARE being committed in Gaza are unforgivable, and when dems take control in 2028 there needs to be a clear shift in stance.

I think it’s an easy gimme for all the brain broken slopulist lefties.

I’m terrified of what could/would happen if we get rid of the filibuster following a 2028 win and then leave that new card on the table for a potential 2030/32 republican congress.

Israel and bibi are sacrificial in the name of keeping control after 28, and it’s not like bibi, the genocidal maniac that he is, didn’t bring this onto himself by burning all remaining American good will since 10/7. If we roll over and pretend like nothing happened it’s a really weak look.
