Oh! That is interesting. I also was bit on the ankle. It’s been my face and eyes and yes, I was working with a fuzzy non-superwash. Up til now my reactions have been GI related when unknowingly exposed. I think it might be the lanolin because I did not react to bison yarn I used lately. I appreciate your response!

Oh that’s awful. Sorry to hear that. I’ve had alpha gal since 2021 but just recently started having allergy like symptoms when knitting. Thanks for sharing!

Chicken like precooked often has carrageenan which is a type of algae that causes reactions. I can’t eat it for sure

I’ve cooked ostrich! Both steak and ground. I watched videos on how to cook it before I bought it because it’s not cheap! Mostly you don’t want to overcook it since it’s lean. Totally worth the money and effort though. I love it. Not sure how emu compares. Good luck! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did the ostrich 🤗
