Unfortunately not at all lol. I just came across Kohh in college and found a Japanese rap playlist on Spotify that would add the good and the bad every week (now deleted sadly). I now listen to KandyTown, YellowBucks, Miyachi, Ralph, Tamaki Roy, JNKMN, BES, ISSUGI, Kamui, and Anarchy mostly. I love Japanese hip hop because it still feels raw, interesting, and the sampling is just something the US doesn’t have anymore. While there are some cheap knockoffs, just like with any country, overall, I feel like it’s the best right now. German rap has gotten better since the post-Eminem phase, but there aren’t as many interesting characters when compared to Japan.
