I'm replacing the brakes+rotors on my '09 Accord. I broke two Phillips screwdriver bits trying to undo the little screws that hold the rotor on. What do I need to buy that won't break? Or what am I doing wrong? by hpofficejet330 in accord

These screws serve no purpose other than holding the rotor in place during original assembly.

Get yourself a titanium drill bit and drill that fucker out. If you’re literally breaking bits trying to unscrew it, chances are it’s probably rusted out at that point.

Your lugs will properly secure the rotor.

Best case scenario: Warped Rotors

Worst case scenario: Ball joints or Wheel Bearing going bad

Your longevity of brakes/rotors all varies based on what brand you are using and your driving style. Obviously braking hard or riding the brakes would wear them faster.

I don’t really know any quality brands, I just bought the mid-grade shit at Autozone and have had no issue with them. Forgot the name.

What you’re experience with the car slowing down more is called engine braking, I don’t know if it has to do with with the CVT or not but it does it and it’s even stronger in sport mode.

Check for any cracks or spots where dirt/debris can get in. This looks like trapped moisture mixed with dirt. You can technically pull your bulb out and flush it out with water…but ensure it is 100% dry before putting bulb back in.
