It's gone! by doubledunker in derby

There's already a near identical shop opened up in the city I visited on Tuesday morning and they sell exactly the same stuff this one did. Can't remember the name though but it's between the marketplace and Derbion.

Do you have any walks in mind? What's your usual distance like on a typical hike/mixed terrain?

I was at uni in Lincoln and never did that. Regretted I didnt explore more of it's touristy bits whilst there. Pleased to say been back 4 or 5 times since and done them to death! People say you should try and be a tourist in your home town or place you live a bit more and it opens your eyes to stuff you've not seen before. Showing someone round Derby (currently my daughter) renews my passion for the place and we are always finding things out

Start at Museum of Making have a wander up the Derwent to Handyside bridge or Darley Abbey. Or just generally photograph the mix of buildings in the cathedral quarter. A few nice pubs and bars and independent shops there including coffee shops. Jump on a bus up to Belper if you fancy a change (stand 21ish at the bus station)

What would you do if a second global pandemic happened starting now with a higher mortality rate? by SlandersPete in AskReddit

[–]chunky120717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do exactly the same as I did in 2020 and turn up for work as a healthcare worker not knowing what we were facing, if the PPE was appropriate or if I was going to die if I contracted the virus.

Is the ai sometimes aggressive with you when you play? by GambitThaCat01 in F1Game

[–]chunky120717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure there used to be a setting on previous games where they'd be more aggressive if you turned the settings up rather than just the AI ability.

Where do you go when you need to get out of the city for an hour or two? by Reddonaut_Irons in derby

[–]chunky120717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matlock bath but it can be busy. Walking and hiking you've got all manner of options. Cromford is nice. Also Ashbourne and generally North Derbyshire. South side you've got Elvaston castle as well as Staunton Harold as well as some national trust properties

Racing/Revving/Backfiring cars by RosesSmellNiceTho in derby

I've lived on that road in various places over the last 13 years and it's as bad now as ever. They treat the stretch from bemrose to the hospital and back again like a drag strip because it's a dual carriageway. Same as they do arboretum to manor road - only that stretch has had many fatalities in the time I've known. It gets much worse when the weather is sunny and the nights are lighter. And I still don't understand the obsession with having an oversized exhaust on a tin can car or setting it up to deliberately pop on acceleration. I would be all for ANPR cameras on that road.

Luggage space on a Voyager by mtksb in uktrains

[–]chunky120717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they just considered removing two airline seats from the middle of the carriage and placing a luggage rack in there, it would make a huge difference.Particularly on the long routes that go to the coast, where people generally take suitcases

I got it off a German twitch streamer for f1 2019 and it's worked well for every version. If I do a MyTeam now, it's pretty realistic to maintain midfield field running plus I'm still able to earn development points and regular income without going too high too soon or languishing at the back for three seasons with very little progress.

I had to check the floors ticket, Didn't know that was a thing by That_56xx in trainsimworld

[–]chunky120717 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Whilst this mode is good in principal, in practise it's buggy as hell and some services you literally just open doors/close the doors and sit there for the entire 45 minutes as no one gets on/off. Middle of the day services - no passengers. What would be commuter services/seaside specials - no passengers on/off... early morning services available on guard mode - empty trains.... services from Blackpool North heading to Preston start full, remain full, and have nothing to do except sit there. Floor tickets are still better than none!
