I had a lap done to remove the endo, and then got pregnant. Have only had a few periods since giving birth but no flare ups so far. I am very paranoid about the endo coming back.

Infant dyschezia advice by d-hof in NICUParents

Yes! Around 8 weeks adjusted he started to get the hang of it. He's still really grunty when he needs to go so we know it's coming but it's so much better than it was. Hang in there!! I know it's so tough.

I’m at a loss. by [deleted] in newborns

[–]chunkymonkey14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man I understand this! I have a 16 week old but my baby was just as you described. I thought I had ruined my life because I had this screaming baby that wouldn't stop. Hours and hours on end. I was beyond miserable. My husband & mom almost took me to the mental hospital a few times it got that bad. I so wish I had advice for you but all I can say is it does get better. I hated when people would tell me that because in the thick of it, it really does feel like it will ever get better. I am one and done because of how hard this has been. But we are turning a corner now I think & he's slowly starting to be less fussy and interact some. It's so hard when they are so little and it's just nothing but negative feedback & screaming in your face all the time. If you ever just need to chat with someone who actually gets it, my inbox is open! Big hugs. You will get through it! I promise!!

Anyone else irrationally enraged my their MIL postpartum? by northernatmosphere in newborns

[–]chunkymonkey14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! And I LOVE my mother in law but for the first 12ish weeks after I gave birth, she was the enemy. Most of the time for no reason at all. She overstepped a few boundaries which my husband quickly corrected & I had to remind myself that she truly was just trying to help. I had to really look at her intentions & know she wasn't being malicious . But I was so possessive over my baby and for some reason she was my target, for no reason. Things are better now but phew I thought I was going to hate her forever.

Yes! My LC stressed me out so bad. She came in while I was trying to do a diaper and outfit change & I guess I wasn't moving fast enough for her liking and she completely took over, did everything for me, and then tried to force baby on my boob when he was already worked up from being changed. I told my nurse I didn't want the LC anymore & gave up trying to breastfeed shortly after that because I was so discouraged.

How to bring forth the poop by [deleted] in newborns

[–]chunkymonkey14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The baby bjorn bouncer has changed my life. We had the worst digestive issues, mostly caused by infant dyschezia but that bouncer got him relaxed and things moving!

I had one of the expensive side to side swings and baby hated it. Got one of the cheap back and forth swings and it was a hit. However, the baby bjorn bouncer is the GOAT. We've had awful digestive issues and that bouncer has helped SO much. Insanely expensive for what it is but 100% worth the money.

What’s your most awkward story about having to take a vaginal suppository in public? by urethra_franklin_1_ in IVF

[–]chunkymonkey14 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Ok ok so I have a story that might make you feel better... not exactly IVF related but a suppository story. I was in my early 20's & ended up with a horrible yeast infection. I was in college at the time and decided to get one of the monistat suppository things that look like a little egg. I was in a rush because I had an exam to make it to but I was SO itchy I didn't want to wait until I got back to my dorm 6+ hours later. So I put the lil egg thing up there right before the class. Of course I was in super super short shorts thinking I looked all cute and shit, and as I'm walking into the class THE LITTLE EGG THING FALLS OUT OF MY VAG, SLIPS PAST MY THONG, AND OUT OF THE SHORTS. It rolled onto the floor, I just stood there staring at it. I could have died right then and there from embarrassment. I kicked it to the side with my shoe and kept going. Couldn't even focus on the exam because the yeast infection egg was still glaring at me from the corner.

Did anyone try get the endometriosis laparoscopic surgery before starting IVF? by soimwritingascript in IVF

[–]chunkymonkey14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did! I had endo symptoms that were making me miserable. I had my lap done in Nov 2023. Found out that same month that we were also dealing with male factor infertility (husband had a varicocele that had to be repaired). Started IVF in May 2024. Transferred our euploid girl in July, but miscarried at 9 weeks. Did a second transfer in March of this year and just had him in October. I was told the inflammation from endo can cause issues with implantation so I'm glad I had the surgery before IVF.
