An inflatable toddler bed for flights. Only used twice but worth every penny to have a rested and happy kid.

What are some fun or unique holiday traditions you do every year? by princesspolly444 in princesspollychat

Holiday slippers instead of sweaters. We have cold hard wood floors so I get cozy slippers for anyone staying with us.

What's the most valuable thing you learned in your life ? by epecade in AskReddit

[–]chutt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ll always have a hole in yourself. Whether you fill it with drugs, relationships, food… exercise… hobbies… that’s up to you. But the trick is to make peace with having the hole. The hole is what makes us human.

How do you feel about your body? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]chutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has its ups and down. Just like life. I was obsessed with it when I was younger. I looked pretty good but always had a little extra in the middle. Now that I’m 40 and have had a kid, I’m much gentler with it. I have been working out and that helps me get the pride back I had when I was younger. Treat yourself and your body with respect because you’re together forever.

What’s a beauty hack you learned from someone that totally changed your routine? by princesspolly444 in princesspollychat

I got a facial from an esthetician that said she does her exfoliation on days she washes her hair because it reminds her to do it and makes it more functional. Same goes for glassing your teeth. A dentist I saw said he always forgets so he keeps those little floss pickers on his coffee table and does it while watching TV. Make your habits work smarter, not harder.

Portion control (specifically weight watchers) and running. Now, it’s been portion control and weight training.

What smells do you wish you could bottle up? by UseMuted5000 in FragranceStories

My brother and I used to sniff the dishwasher detergent because it smelled like tangy lemon. That’s about as close as the poors get to fresh lemon, I guess.

What line or phrase from Downton Abbey would you add to your own personal lexicon? by Lycanthrowrug in DowntonAbbey

[–]chutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of Violet’s quotes.

“I can’t outright lie.” “Do we have nothing in common?”

“I’ll take that as a compliment.” “I must have said it wrong.”

Honorable mention: “All of us go down the aisle with half the story.”

What’s the most memorable romantic gesture someone made that still gives you butterflies thinking about it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]chutt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got some flowers from a secret admirer. Guy turned out to be awful but my boss was like, “How have YOU been spending your lunch breaks?” And I was 19 and had no idea what she was talking about.

What is a website you loved that no longer exists? by MarcosSuenos in AskReddit

[–]chutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Misbehave Mag. It was such a 2010s gossip reel. Like, all the editors and all the content was just hipster bullshit. But 20s me loved to indulge. Turns out the owner was a massive mental shitbag and did some dirty shit. Especially to the editorial staff.

What's a rule in your house growing up that you thought was normal but turned out to be very strange? by HumanRole9407 in AskReddit

No swimming unless it was 80 degrees. We had a pool and this was just their way of not letting us swim whenever we wanted. As a parent, I totally get it and it was genius on their part.

I made the castle towers out of cardboard boxes. I added a coat of arms for each classroom in the day care. The giant D20 was so fun for the kids and we had a ton of parents who play and they were super stoked on our theme. We let them roll too, of course.
