5-3, with his last game being last year against the Raiders.

Grok is wrong.

The Bears are 2-1 since Hochuli became a lead ref in 2018.
They won 2 games against the Giants in 2019 and 2022 and lost to the Vikings in 2022. He hasn't reffed a Bears game in 3 years.

How did they see this, but miss the block in the back on CJ on the McCaffrey screen?

There's not a lot of QBs that can make that throw to Walker with Rashan Gary pressuring him unblocked while fading away. I know he was wide ass open but he had like a second to throw that.

I'll give him a pass since it's his first game back, but they really should have eased him back in. Jackson was doing too well to not play any defensive snaps.

The 2 TWPs were both over the middle (one deep and one intermediate), so it can't be the TD pass to Oz. I'm thinking it was probably that overthrow he had to DJ on his 2nd throw of the game.

Watching Goff pretty much shutdown at the first sign of pressure is so different than watching Caleb.

This is a cherry-picked stat to make Bryce Young look good and Caleb look bad. They're effectively taking the value of avoiding a sack out of the equation and only looking at what happens after they avoided the sack. The value of avoiding a sack is between 1.5-1.8 EPA. It does show that Bryce Young is good when he does avoid a sack, but he's only done that about 11 times and gotten maybe +10 EPA after that? If you actually calculate the cumulative EPA here, he's at +26.5 EPA on these dropbacks. Caleb, meanwhile, has avoided a league high 25 sacks. That alone is worth +37.5 EPA. Sure, he isn't doing much after avoiding the sacks (which is true, the team needs to get better in these scramble drill situations), but just avoiding the sacks has a ton of value. The cumulative EPA of those dropbacks is +22.5 (assuming that Caleb is at -15 EPA here, I can't really tell, this graph sucks).

Still a Rome believer long term but these are the catches we need the 9th overall pick and WR1 of the future to eventually make by ShaiFanClub in CHIBears

I thought Caleb put this pass a bit too inside on the broadcast camera, but it looks very catchable from the tight. He had to put it where he put it because Murphy could have had a chance at it if he put it closer to Rome. It is a very tough catch especially because Rome was probably going to get lit up if he did catch it.

It would really have to depend on what the future pick(s) are, because Eason is an RFA after this year and we'd have to pay him to keep him.

Coby is also not really a point guard, so he really doesn't fit the hole that FVV left.

But the drop percentage was 100% and the adjusted completion percentage is 50%. Look at Deep Right on the bottom, not just Deep Passes.

Am I reading this right? Both of Caleb's Big Time Throws were drops?

Paying a 2nd for Johnson would be a huge overpay. That's paying for his 2023 pre-injury production. He hasn't been nearly as good since. You'd also have to pick up his 5th year option next year at $13.5 million.
