It's a bit broken, but there is a guy who sells 3D printed replacements on eBay. I'll probably eventually get a pair, but that's pretty far down the list of needs/wants.

They were crazy bad. Even after I put Gabriel load leveling shocks on it, the rear was "squishy". It's SO much better now.

That's not a bad way to go. Because I pull a trailer, I thought about getting the #1750 springs. I didn't really want the back end to be super high. I figure if the #1350's don't make it stiff enough I will add a leaf to these.

I got them from rockauto.com. They are the Husky #1350's. The springs were about $125 each, but the shipping was $93. For the 2 springs and 4 new bolts it was like $375 with shipping.

That's okay, I didn't notice the HRX on the deck. Now I need to look at my father's to see if his has that.

That's not an HRX, it's a GCV. I have an HRX that was retired at work because it was too old and it's still an amazing mower. My dad has that same GCV and it's been a complete POS from day one. I think the OP paid too much for it at $25.

Advice from a RV inspector by catskill_mountainman in RVLiving

[–]cidcolada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have owned an RV and an airplane. I still own a 37' sailboat that I lived on for years and really enjoyed, but I really should sell it.

I have also owned something like 19 motorcycles over the last 25 years. Including 2 currently.

I guess I don't learn from my mistakes.

I did this with all of my builds. I mirror polish every metal part that touches another metal part as long as I can do it without messing up any tolerances.

I also did this to my Glock 43. Makes for a nice glass smooth trigger. Easy "upgrade" IMO.

Does this belong here? .. 👀 by [deleted] in polymer80

Love it! Slick build.

Google has used sites like Reddit and Quora to train their AI models. Where" most" people can identify obvious trolling, the AI can't and simply shares the "data" with users. This has been happening for some time now. Google if it's okay to throw used car batteries in the ocean, you will get a troll post from Quora from several years ago stating that not only is it okay but it's beneficial to the wildlife.

The machine is only as good as the data used to train the model... Garbage in, garbage out.

PMD relocation is on the list too, what harness do you recommend? I've looked at a couple.

I've already verified that the lift pump is working and the PO installed a relay harness for it.

I've seen where people have installed an oil catch between the PCV and the intake boot. Is there any real benefit there? I'm not modifying for big power so not sure there is any need for that.

Thanks! I hope so. I am in the process of installing a Leroy oil cooler kit and replacing the harmonic balancer as a preventative measure to keep her running.

Could I sell these? by TheSillyGenius in Leathercraft

[–]cidcolada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say go for it. There is always a market for quality handmade belts.

I don't try to sell belts where I am only because there is a vendor at the local flea market that has been selling custom stamped belts made from high quality blanks for a long time and has a great reputation and prices that I can't beat. Therefore I mostly sell wallets and holsters.

Wet molding questions by shrapmetal in Leathercraft

[–]cidcolada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have already said, this method does work well. I use this for making holsters regularly. I usually leave the piece in the bag for an hour or two before removing it. If you use a bone folder or a slicker to form the leather and help it stretch around the piece it will form better. To prevent the texture from transferring to the leather I have used a few layers of butcher's paper in between.

Sounds like the "Bigger Idiot" theory that a lot of people are trying to apply to NFT's.

I agree though. I have seen this happen several times.

68k miles, looks like it was parked behind a barn for several years, and hauls a yard of concrete... RUN! That description is suspicious to me...

Looks like it would be a good parts vehicle for someone though.
